This is a nice big sleeping bag with a water resistant outer shell and a super comfy soft flannel lining. The bag has a nice drawstring hood, which most lower end bags don’t have. It also comes with a real compression bag, instead of just a stuff sack. The bag description says it’s for warm weather, and it also says it’s for spring and fall. Spring and fall are not warm where I am! But the description also says it’s good for 50-60 degrees. I doubt this. First, this bag is really thin. I can see it working on warm summer nights in the 60s, but not below that. There’s just not enough insulation. Second, there’s no zipper baffle to block cold air from entering at the zipper. This leaves a long strip along the zipper with no insulation. Brrrrr! This is going to make cold nights even colder! This is not a bad sleeping bag. I think it is great for summer camping or use in areas where you have heat. But I would not recommend using it at temperatures below 60 degrees unless you use another bag or liner with it. It’s been years since I’ve been camping so when I ordered this sleeping bag I was a little nervous the one I grew up with was so bulky and heavy. This was nothing like that! It was lightweight but warm, washed well and did out quickly. Was easy to roll and self contain. Its footprint was so small relative to everything else we brought I almost thought we forgot to pack it ! REI and other camping stores had sleeping bags but at a much higher price point and I’m not a professional camper just a parent who enjoys spending time with family on the weekends and this fit the bill for us perfectly. Shipping took a really long time but the product is very well made. The inside cotton lining feels amazing. I picked the higher temp rating and the bag is correspondingly thin and lightweight. The carrying shell has tightening straps on all sides to ensure the smallest fit when stowed away. There's a food at the head and a double sided zipper with Velcro lock at the top. There's also a cinching cord at the neck area. Overall I'm very satisfied and I can't wait to use this over my all polyester one for summer trips. Read more
