1) shortly after buying them: These are so not absorbent, it almost doesn't feel like cotton at all. I initially thought they may have been starched (they are kind of stiff right out the package), which makes them look nice to stage a bathroom or kitchen. Now, when it comes to actually using them, they are pretty useless. After washing them 2-3 times, they are still pretty much like a nylon fabric that doesn't dry absorbe anything at all. Maybe I need to wash them more? 2) update: after about 6-8 washes and almost giving up, they are starting to look and feel more like cotton. Absorbency improved significantly. Color as pictured, but overall not thrilled with this purchase. I should have paid more attention to the dimensions as this is NOT a regular sized hand towel, it's slightly smaller, which was a bummer but on me. The material is really thin and cheap-feeling, and I predict the tassels will not last long. As long as you keep the towel fully stretched out and able to air-dry, it is fine for drying hands after washing in bathroom, but I wouldn't put it in a high-traffic bathroom or kitchen. Read more

I bought a couple of sets of these in the light gray and the aqua color to use in my real estate staging business. They look fantastic no matter how the home seller has decorated or if the property is empty and I'm doing light staging. They are shrink-sealed in a package for shipping so they'll need to have a hot iron taken to them if you plan to use them without washing, first. They are lightweight but they photograph great! I own turkish towels. These are not real ones. They are so light and the fabric is not tightly woven its so loose you can see through. Very rough material. At first I thought I got the wrong item.
