The sheets are soft and have a sheen to them that is reminiscent of polished cotton. They washed nicely and the top sheet remained with straight edges, not losing any length on one side, but not on the other. They did not seem to shrink after one washing and fit the queen bed perfectly. I read many reviews before I settled on these sheets. Looking first to replace the sheets I had with the same brand I had, I saw many complaints of sheets shredding, which is what had happened to mine, so I was off on the hunt for a different brand. After a lot of research, I found these sheets and from what information is provided, they seem to be true quality. When I opened them from the box, they felt buttery smooth and durable. I got the 1000TC and after the first wash, they seemed to stiffen up a bit. The softness wasn't the same, but I have read a lot about how that is normal for new, pure cotton, sheets. In fact, I was glad to see the material was so sturdy, and I look forward to experiencing them soften with every wash. I bought Lane Linen 100% Egyptian Cotton in beautiful taupe. I love these quality sheets. After lots of research and some mistakes I got rid of all my not-worn-out sheets but definitely not special sheets sets. They were sad. I also got rid of about 25 pillow cases from past moderately priced sets that didn't last. From the start none of those formerly owned sets thrilled me as Lane Linens 100% Egyptian Cotton sets have me feel. These sheets are luxurious. The elastic is well made and there is additional quality elastic midway up the pockets at each four corners to ensure a secure fit. I'm thrilled to get up in the morning to admire them while I make my bed. And I'm excited to get into bed at night with this quality high caliber bedding. It feel lux. It has a great rich weight. So comfy. My only complaint is that the pillow cases have one normal side and the other side of the opening is a clever lip that prevents the pillow from slipping out. I wish that there were an option to select the same simple opening for both sides. Still, not a problem. I'm still enjoying the heck out of the them and guaranteed to buy another set. Read more

These are some really nice comfy cozy sheets. They are a nice thick sheet that has a noticeable feel of quality to them. It's almost like a warm hug once you get into bed and pull them up to nestle down into your little happy place. They fit our 13 inch thick king size mattress without a problem. They stay in place really really well without having to use those little corner garter belt thingies on the fitted sheet. No more bottom sheet shifting or bunching up. The top sheet seems to be a little wider than normal and has plenty of extra to hang over both sides of the mattress so we no longer have any more problems with someone stealing all the sheets (That would be me of course) and that makes my wife very happy. The pillow cases feel nice against your skin as you snuggle into bed and they have plenty of room to hold a true king size pillow. The pillow cases are generously proportioned so that the pillow just slides in well without a struggle but is not so loose that the pillow case is bunching up on you. The fit is perfect. We've had little to no problems with wrinkles but we dry on low heat with a cool down cycle to help prevent wrinkling and these are after all only sheets, not dress pants. Any residual wrinkling seems to smooth out pretty quickly once they are put on the bed. We were so impressed with the quality and feel of these sheets that we went ahead and ordered a second set. At first they do feel a little bit stiff due to the thickness and durability but with a couple of more washes I am certain they will start to soften up very nicely and last for years to come.
