These are quite sharp, and give a good shave. Better than other razor blades I've used in the past. The thin paper packaging isn't that difficult to remove, even if you've got wet hands and it soaks into the paper. Pretty reasonable quantity and quality for the price, but if you know you'll need more on a semi-regular basis, I'd suggest using subscribe and save since the discount is pretty worth it for something you'll need regularly. When I wanted to make my facial hair have more clean lines and edges, I switched to a straight razor and was a little nervous. Takes some practice to know the angle to hold the razor and how to use it, but after a short while it becomes second nature. These razors are great for a straight razor newbie. I use them as single use disposables, but you probably could get 2 or 3 shaves out of them if you really wanted. They fit on my razor easily and are nice and sharp. They are a bit flexible as well, so not super rigid, which may make them seem cheap, but they work just fine for me. If you are going to use a straight razor, these are a great cheap source for replacement disposable blades Read more

Very sharp high quality blades. Only problem is I cut myself a lot. But can’t blame the blade, only myself. That being said, if you’re not accustomed to shaving with a straight blade, this may be too much. I accidentally bumped my pinky finger with it and ended up cutting open my finger. I use a razor that leaves a high amount of exposure. I would probably recommend for a more traditional type that has less exposure which would cause less accidental cuts. Read more

I had previously used Derby Platinum blades and was able to compare these brands together. I tested with a dry shave (no shaving cream) just to see how easily each could cut through my facial hair. I tried out the Facōn's first and it pushed through my facial hair almost effortlessly. I was able to shave off my cheek hair without much effort. Then I swapped out the blades and tested out my remaining Derby blade (unused) and the second the blade came into contact with my facial hair on the other cheek the blades grabbed my hair and pulled, not cut the hair. I then swapped out to the Facōn again and was able to shave the hairs the Derby blade refused to cut. I put shaving cream on my face and the shave time felt shorter and the blade cut through my facial hair with ease. Don't get me wrong Derby blades are great, however they definitely needed the shaving cream to perform. I will be sticking with Facōn for the foreseeable future. Read more
