Good for clothesline and more
This is used for a clothesline. My thoughts were plastic-coated metal, but cotton got better reviews. It's more eco-friendly as well. When stringing the line, I learned quickly to pull the line taut; it will sag a bit with the weight of the clothes. My clothesline posts are about 25' apart for reference. When one wants to secure the clothes to the line instead of just pinching the clothes around the line, this thicker rope allows for a better grab. The clothes slide less that way. This is a good product and recommended. After more than a month, it still looks new. It is partially shaded on one side, but it's impossible to tell by looking at the rope. It ties well too, with uniform stretchability. The leftovers are good for miscellaneous tasks around the house. Recommended. Read more

I bought this rope to restring my clothesline. Looked good from the outside and it's fairly sturdy. However, it's not a continuous rope. At one point, it's loosely joined to another length and is not fully woven through that section. I'm concerned that this is where the clothesline will fail over time. I may reinforce it, but it's also good soft rope for macrame, I'm undecided about its future function as yet. Read more

Broke the very first time I used it
I prefer using lines for drying my laundry. I have for years. I usually get 2ish maybe 3 years out of a line before it start fraying and I DECIDE to retire it. I got this one, did a batch of laundry, and put out 2 hoodies, 1 pair of pants, some scivies and maybe 5 pair of socks out to dry. I checked them an hour later and the line had snapped right in the middle of my tie off points, maybe 40 feet give or take. Buy at your own risk Read more
