This is used for a clothesline. My thoughts were plastic-coated metal, but cotton got better reviews. It's more eco-friendly as well. When stringing the line, I learned quickly to pull the line taut; it will sag a bit with the weight of the clothes. My clothesline posts are about 25' apart for reference. When one wants to secure the clothes to the line instead of just pinching the clothes around the line, this thicker rope allows for a better grab. The clothes slide less that way. This is a good product and recommended. After more than a month, it still looks new. It is partially shaded on one side, but it's impossible to tell by looking at the rope. It ties well too, with uniform stretchability. The leftovers are good for miscellaneous tasks around the house. Recommended. Read more
