So comfie! I am 5'6 about 148lbs and ordered medium and it is a perfect fit. I can wear jeans over it and possibly layer with other leggings. I feel it has plenty of stretch but i guess if you want a looser fit you can go up in size. Very soft material, very satisfied with my purchase Read more

We are hunters and we have a big vacation planned in the near future going to Yellowstone National Park in the Winter. I live in Louisiana where our cold is a wet cold. But in Montana it is a dry cold. After reading many informative documents on how to dress for the cold and the extreme cold in Montana, I knew I needed to purchase some clothing made from Merino Wool. Merino wool wicks perspiration away from the skin. I don't need my my husband getting out in the cold and getting wet only to get pneumonia! Keeping dry helps to avoid hypothermia in the winter. I ordered these bottoms for myself in the Charcoal color in large. The fit is perfect. I will be using these as my base layer. This bottoms are lightweight not bulky like I thought it would be. It is very soft and comfortable – not itchy at all. When I think of wool, I think of the heavy, thick, itchy, bulky material but not this 100% Merino Wool. The stitching is done perfectly. These have flat lock seams to prevent chafing. I washed mine as soon as I received them in cold water and tumbled in the dryer on low. I have tried them on and I am very pleased with them. I love the cuff that these have around the ankles. I have not had the opportunity to wear these in the cold yet – still 100 degrees here in Louisiana but I have been wearing them in the house just to make sure they fit and are comfortable. They have passed that test and they are very warm but I can't wear them for long right now because they do hold the heat in. I highly recommend this product. I paid full price for this item but a day after I purchased these, the price went up. Read more

These meet my job's requirements for natural-fiber undergarments, and they're cheaper than Smartwool. I've had them two winters now -- two pairs, each worn two days a week, then machine-washed cold and hung up to dry. I have had no problems with their durability. I've also gotten away with just the two pairs because wool doesn't pick up odors quickly. I'd guess they give me an extra 10 degrees of cold tolerance, i.e. whatever outer layers I'd normally be comfortable in at 70 are now comfortable at 60. As for fit, regarding the leggings, I wish the rise were higher in the back -- it covers what needs covering, but the waistband dips down in back relative to the front -- and that the legs were longer. Once I pull them up enough that I can bend my knees, the cuffs are several inches above my ankles. As for the top, it fits as expected, maybe on the loose side, and is long enough to tuck into the bottoms. Basically a good product, if you need wool long underwear. Pretty much itch-free, durable, acceptable fit, adds some warmth. Read more

I’ve bought so many pairs of these I’ve lost track, I love them so much. Merino wool is breathable and super comfortable on the skin. In the winter I wear them every day. Since I live in a cold place I layer them when it’s super cold. I sleep in them, or use them under jeans, or under my bibs. They’re fairly durable, but I do wear thru them since I use them so much. They do sag some and are not fully elastic against your body like tights are. But they’re a thin material so they layer easily and provide a noticeable warmth far superior to other types of long underwear. Read more

I did a lot of research to find 100% wool thermals that would fit me comfortably and be thick enough to stand up to the -40 and -50 temperatures we were having this year and was willing to shell out the money when I found the right set. I bought this Minus33 Merino Wool Tanana Expedition Crew and the Minus33 Merino Wool Kenai Expedition Bottom and am I ever so glad I did! QUALITY! These are made out of thick quality wool and the seams are very strong. I experienced no wearing or tearing despite doing quite a lot of heavy labor taking care of our farm and chopping wood in the middle of winter. WARM! This set was literally a lifesaver since we got snowed into our house and had to purchase a snowmobile just to make it to town. If I had not bought them there is no way we could have made the trip in those temperatures! EXPENSIVE! Heck yes they are but if you're spending any amount of time in the cold believe me these are absolutely WORTH IT. STILL WARM WHEN WET! Even when I would get too active and find myself sweating or get wet from the weather and snow these stayed warm. That is the benefit of 100% wool compared to many other thermal materials! Wear them under a nice waterproof/windbreaking pair of pants and you are set! Are there any cons? Well if you are VERY sensitive to wool you may still feel itchy and I believe I read somewhere that they suggest these be a second layer on top of a silk thermal layer. I may in fact do this next year even though I am not sensitive to wool as these thermals were quite comfy on their own. The only other con I could possibly drudge up is that the crew top likes to roll up off my larger hips up to my stomach. Tucking them under a pair of jeans or other pants seemed to fix this issue and I am sure it has something more to do with my shape than the actual product. Read more
