I saw these advertised from a no name store. Decided to look for them on Amazon. These are fantastic. My early teens found them fun and fascinating. You can actually look a the micro fibers that make up your clothes. Super cool. Allows you to take photos of what you see as well. Great purchase so far. Read more

This was a gift for my 12 year old & he loves it. We also enjoy it. The mobility & ease of use is great. We take it on walks with us so when we pause at a park we can examine things. You have to buy a card to do video, but you can take pictures without it. We didn't read the manual & we still figured out the multi-use buttons. Basically you press or press & hold for different functions. We are able to get clear & bright, easily focused images. The size is perfect for big & small hands. No isses at all out of the box. We love it! Read more

I bought this for my 9 year old girl and ended up loving it for more than her! It is so easy to carry and fun to walk around and study items around the house and outside. For the cost, it is amazing value and quality. The focus is easy to reach and we discovered salt is shaped like cubes! Read more

The media could not be loaded. We have had this little microscope for a few months now. We have gotten to use it at the end of the summer into the fall and winter. We have been able to try it out on different insects, plants, animals and other inanimate objects. I feel like we have had plenty of time to test it out in a lot of different ways. It is very durable, sturdy and perfect for little hands. It is the right size to just throw it in a bag and go. It is very compact. My daughter brings it with her in her small purse/backpack. I love the strap that comes with it too. It has come in handy to help me hold the device more still when trying to capture images of an insect that I can't cover with the lens. I was getting photos of a praying mantis at the end of the summer. It was tricky because she didn't let me get too close. So I put the strap around my neck and held the microscope out as far as the strap would allow so that it would help keep my hand steady. I captured some great images. However, I didn't realize that I have no way to upload the photos captured with the internal storage. You can only upload photos if you have a memory card inserted before you take the photo. I took several photos before I knew this. When I went to upload them, I discovered this problem. So I had to insert a memory card and start taking more photos to share. This item doesn't come with a memory card. If you want to see the photos or share them, you need to get a memory card. I do wish there was a way to upload the photos from the internal memory storage. I have some great photos of the praying mantis as well as a moth. It really does a great job at magnifying what you see. The moth's antenna look like feathers! It is so neat. We love it. We love the light feature. It is really necessary. It has 3 settings: low, medium and high. It is easy to switch between the settings too. The lighting really helps to bring out the details. Without it, it is just too dark most of the time. We also love the clear slide type dish that you can attach to the bottom of the microscope. It snaps on snug so that I think you could even observe a liquid. Just make sure to leave the white sticker on it so you have a background behind what you observe. We are going to be trying liquid soon. We have some photos we took of a dead stink bug and lady bug. The stink bug looks really interesting. Not only can you zoom in 1000x and then take photos, but you can also take videos. You can take the photos in color or night vision mode. If you want to just take a photo, you sharpen the quality of the photo with the little adjuster on the left side which moves the lens up and down like a regular microscope, then touch the camera button. If you want to take video, you just hold in the camera button. When you are done recording, you hit the camera button one more time and it ends the recording. It functions really well and is so easy to use that a young child should have no trouble. It is also rechargeable with a type-c charger that comes included. I am uploading several photos we took with it as well as a short video I took of a dead stink bug we had in the slide, and I just moved it around by shaking the microscope around some and refocusing the image. It is pretty neat and a great way to see the world around you in a different way. You will see textures and details that you never knew were there. It is a great way for kids to explore and learn. I think it is a great value for what you get as well. Read more

My seven year old is obsessed with this! I knew he would like it, but this has given me a LOT of time to get things done because he’s looking at anything and everything. It took a second for us to figure out the lighting modes and zoom functions, but once we realized the dial turns further and was just a little stiff at first use it was a blast. The zoom is awesome, the fibers he is able to see in clothing is cool. Battery life is great, but definitely charge it before you give it so they can play with it immediately. We haven’t used the camera function much, but seems like it works fine and you can grab an SD card for storage if needed. Read more
