Great chair mat to protect the carpet under my chair. This is a nice thick chair mat with spikes on the bottom to keep it in place. My chair rolls easily on the mat and the mat stays in place. Sitting in one place on the chair mat, the wheels of my chair leave indentations in the mat, but once I roll my chair to a different position, those indentations reset themselves. The mat was really hard to unroll but I was able to do that myself and then weighed down each corner. At the end of the day, the mat still showed slight signs of having been rolled. By the end of day 2, the mat lays completely flat without any weights on it. After I had unrolled the mat and placed it where I wanted it on the floor, I read the instructions included with the mat. They say to put it out in the sun, which I think is a good suggestion. The hot sun would have made the mat more pliable and easier to roll out. Very happy with this chair mat. Read more

I like that it stays in place & my chair doesn’t easily slide all over the mat. At first it’s difficult to move the chair on the mat but after a couple of weeks movement is better. It’s a soft durable plastic that works excellent on carpet not for hardwood floors. Read more

This chair mat is terrible. First, it comes rolled up TIGHT. Extremely, hard to unroll. I doubt many people can even accomplish that. Then, because it was rolled, if you can unroll it, it will never lay flat. There are waves in it. The corners and ends keep wanting to curl. Finally, it is much too thin. No doubt they had to make it thin so it could be rolled and shipped. I thought I ordered from this company before and it came in a flat box and was much thicker. This one, my chair legs sink in and it's not a whole lot better than just keeping the chair on the carpet. I have given it plenty of time to level out and the ends to stop curling. Of course, when I went to send it back to Amazon, I missed the date to return by 2 days! So disgusted with the mat and myself for waiting too long. Anyhow, don't waste your money. Read more

Many of the 1-star reviews complain that the rolled-up mat is curled so tight it would not lay flat. When I opened the package, the mat was indeed rolled into a tight column--but the instructions told how to get it to lay flat. It says to shower hot water on it or lay it in the sun. Folks, there won't be sun in Seattle until April. Instead, I put about 6" of hot (scalding) water in the tub and in under three minutes it got very pliable. I quickly took it downstairs and laid it on the carpet in front of my desk. Did some of the corners not lay flat? Yes, but the next set of instructions said to place heavy items on the corners. I told my kids to stand there for an hour or so to keep the edges down. (Only kidding). As to the durability of these mats, many don't last more than a few years (some even less). I expect when the plastic outgasses the softening agent, (which I can smell), it gets stiff and the chair wheels finally break through. Read more

Although I could have chosen some other item, I purchased (largest one) to cover my new carpet in the room where my parent with dementia sleeps. My parent wears pull ups and sometimes can leak when standing up. I feel happy that my house is smelling good and clean. No trace of urine! Clean, fresh and happy! This product works for me, and it is very thick and durable. The large one might be a little bit pricey, but it is worth it. I also had to put something heavy on the ends for about a day to keep it from folding and now it’s flat as it should be and holding onto the carpet, perfectly without moving. Read more
