I chose this cable for charging my phone which takes a USB-C type cable. When I am in my office a longer cable is often very handy, so this one fits the need I had (I chose the 6’ variant). It is not a particularly expensive cable but it works well for my situation. This is a lot nicer than the basic cables that often come with phones or can be found on the cheap. Most cables I have seen have a pliable plastic coating, weak connectors, and little integrity. This one is made to last longer. It is encased in a heavy nylon weave instead of plastic which makes it a little stiffer but more resistant to fatigue. The ends are reinforced heavy plastic with a bit of flex, stiff but not so much that the cable cannot be slightly bent when needed. The actual connectors are not oversized so they fit my phone without the need to remove the case, which is a problem I have had with some cables. This cable is listed as a fast charging cord, and that’s the first thing I tested with it. Some cables aren’t able to deliver a high-speed charge even when connected to a fast charger, and my phone will actually put a message on the lock screen about using a slow charger. I swapped out the cable I have been using and used this one in its place. My phone did not complain about being connected to a slow charger, and the charge level increased as it should when connected to a high-speed charger. This is not an expensive cable at all. Incredibly well-built charging cable Six-foot USB-C to USB-C braided nylon charging cable rated to 100W. The cable is braided and actually a bit thicker than many other braided charging cables. Braided cables are important to me because I have a cat who thinks plastic cables are chew toys. He bites through them in a matter of seconds. So my shopping goal is to find the ultimate cat-proof cable. That these are thicker than the others makes me feel that much more secure. With a plethora of devices that charge with USB-C cables, I needed one cable to rule them all. I have an iPhone, iPad, MacBook Pro, and a half dozen home appliances that I need to charge. Given the number of devices, longer cables are a plus, especially since my Apple devices may need to be in service while being charged. Most impressive is that this 100W rate cable can be used to charge my MacBook Pro and at 6 feet gives me enough length to keep working while it charges. Also impressive is the reinforced point between the cable and the USB-C end. This is often the weak point where cables begin to split over time. The rubber reinforcement ensures that it won't happen with this cable. This is an excellent long life durable charging cable able to charge anything quickly, including my MacBook Pro.
