Let me take a second to hate on Sony for making faulty controllers for the PS5. I'm barely a gamer, but 2 of 2 of my controllers started drifting after about a year of light gaming. One was an issue with the left analog and the other was a problem with the right analog. After following a few videos to do the EZ cleaning fixes, it was clear that the white discs in two of the poteniometers were worn - black ring/film around the center of the disc. I ordered these potentiometers to replace two of the discs (one in each controller). The white discs in these are a slightly different shape compared to the OEM, but they fit perfectly in the OEM green housing. I only replaced the discs and did not solder in new housing. I tested the controllers on an online hardwaretester site and gamed a little...AND VIOLA - perfect on the first try. The only negative is that the tweezers are not as pictured. I used my own because the plastic ones included were not sturdy enough to get the job done. For the price, take your time and try this fix before buying new controllers. Time will tell how long the fix lasts, but I have 8 more to use and $140 saved. Read more

They did not exactly look like the shape that came out of the PS5 controller originally but the joystick box on the motherboard of the controller was green as well just like the one's here that I bought but the white potentiometer sensor part fit as a replacement and worked just fine in the joystick box on the motherboard, no complaints will be buying more to fix other controllers with stick drift. Sorry, Don't have any pictures to post with this review at the moment to show what I mean. Read more

My DS5 picked up some bad drift on the right stick (left/inward) and cleaning didn't fix it. Took it apart again today, dropped in a new insert, and I'm good as far as gamepadtester is concerned. The two included pry tools work well enough but the tweezers couldn't grip the cables and chipped when I kept trying. Read more

Just as described! Left stick drift fixed! opened er up to see what color potentiometer my 1st gen controller had (Green). Ordered this potentiometer, out with the old wiper, cleaned the potentiometer and nearby parts with isopropyl alcohol, Swapped out the wiper, used an online calibration tool. Voila! now shows as close to zero as the right stick, just be careful and patient when opening the on-board potentiometer. Good product! Read more
