I chose this set of Edison style bulbs from UMLAEN to replace a defective bulb in a mid century style lamp that has a touch feature and a open bulb in the center that has 3 brightness settings. It also has a typical bulb and shade at the top of the lamp. The length of these bulbs seemed suited for the shape of the lamp. The base of these bulbs is what I would call standard and the listing calls E26. They fit almost any light base in my home. The limitation is the length - that will not fit under many glass light fixture covers and will not clear the harp on some lamps if installed under the shade. In my opinion, the beauty of these bulbs is in having them uncovered so I plan to use them in open style fixtures. I have tried 3 different shapes and brands of Edison bulbs looking for the right look, color, brightness. I was also looking for the ability to activate and dim or brighten the bulb using the touch feature of the lamp. Oddly to compare, some bulbs that said they were dimmable didn’t work with the touch feature that stages the brightness. The lamp I was using is new and made to use LED bulbs. This is an important part of the dimmable feature in a lamp. Some lamps are designed to use the old high watt bulbs and the touch feature puts too much power to the socket to have an actual low / medium and high setting when using LED bulbs. These bulbs, to compare, have impressed me the most and work on all the levels I mentioned above. They toggle the touch setting, have beautiful color, and the level of light is pleasing. I have added several photos of the lamps showing this bulb. Taking a photo of a light bulb with my phone, typically just looks like a bright blob of light. I was fortunate to get several photos that show the features of this bulb. In each photo of the bulb that looks similar, I have the brightness of the bulb at a different leve. The difference in the light or brightness level is not easily visible to me. I like the design of these bulbs and the swirl of the Edison effect. The construction is good and I have no concerns about longivity. I will update my review if I find any issues. The lamps will be used in a room that is used on an occasional basis. If the bulbs fail in less than 2 years, I will update my review. Read more

These lights are great! Given their size and shape these types of lights work with fixtures that need long cylindrical-type bulbs. They have good brightness for their rated wattage, have very little heat generation, look fantastic in an appropriate fixture, and as long as you’re using the right type of fixture, they are easy to install. Functionality? They work like any other light bulb I’ve had, and I was able to confirm dimming capability using a Lutron dimmer and a Leviton dimmer (both rated for led). Value for the money: If you need this type of bulb (size and shape), these are great value considering what you get. And they put off a nice warm cozy vibe. Read more

We have some other similar LED bulbs with spiral filaments, and we love how they look. These are particularly amber in tone - due to the LEDs and as you can see from the photo, from the quite yellow glass. The bulbs don’t put out too much light, in part I believe because of how we perceive the extra warm light - I would not think about using these for a reading lamp. That said, I was prepared for all of this from the listing, and our plan is to use them in a ‘sputnik’ ceiling fixture where the look is most important.
