Solid pan. Read more
I have been slowly replacing my old pots and pans as they have worn out and most of the nonstick ones have lost their coating. I have been choosing stainless steel on purpose since it avoids unwanted chemicals and gives a cleaner, more dependable cooking experience. I picked up this pan and it has been excellent. The first thing you notice is the weight. It is incredibly heavy and far more solid than similar pans I have owned. The five ply construction feels premium and it heats very evenly. I have tried it on several different burner sizes on my gas range and it performs well on all of them. The material feels sturdy and I have had no issues with performance or durability. It is a bit of an investment, but I think the value is absolutely there. Read more

The frying pan is of good quality. With better quality checks before shipping, this company could become an even stronger brand. Update: They replied promptly and processed my refund. Read more

Last year I converted my entire pot and pan set over to copper core offerings from All-Clad and have become extremely familiar with what sort of design elements and features go into a truly great pan. I wasn't familiar with CHEFWIN before trying out this 11-inch frying pan, but I think this is a serious value proposition at this level of materials and quality. First thing's first, this is a solid implement and it feels the part. It's heavy and feels every bit of what you'd expect from a 5-ply pan. The size is ample, and I really appreciate the high walls. Frying pans typically do not come with lids and aren't expected to be used with them, so the high walls are helpful in preventing some spray and splashing. As an added bonus, I was able to use this pan as an all-in-one for my spaghetti meat sauce, where after browning the beef I was able to just add my sauce and it was able to hold a whole 48oz jar on top of the 1+ pound of beef. No need to dirty up a second pan just for heating it all together and serving. That's the kind of versatility I look for. One of the big pluses that my All-Clad pans do not have is the lack of rivets inside the pan. Sure makes cleaning a bit easier. The handle is welded on instead. My pan has a good looking weld with no discoloration. Everything is even. The handle itself is fairly comfortable, but maybe not the most comfortable. Part of the issue is these really nice pans are just heavy and you can only do so much in a handle design. I haven't done any scientific thermal testing, but I was pleased with heat distribution — that's the real power of copper ply. But that heat distribution also makes the handle get a bit hotter than is comfortable. Without making it out of different material, something I would have liked to have seen is a cut-out or two at the base of the handle to help reduce heat transfer further up. Read more

I have fallen in love with this frying pan. It has a five layer construction with a copper core to transfer heat. When they designed it, they did not want to use rivets to attach the handle. This makes the pan easier to clear and you do not have the food molecules accumulating around the rivets. I will never own another skillet that has the handle riveted on. The pan is 11” so you can pan fry multiple items at once. The skillet is well made and should last a long time. It’s easy to clean and is relatively heavy. The weight and composition of the skillet itself does a good job of evenly browning meat. It is on the more expensive side; however, if it continues to perform as it is now. It will be worth the cost. Read more
This piece of cookware went straight from the box to my chief cook and bottle washer (ha,ha,ha). She promptly put it to the test in preparing a skillet fried chicken dish (which came out well). She really liked the skillet and asked for me to buy more of the line. The skillet is well made and attractive in appearance, but it is a bit heavy. The heat spreading ability of its design was demonstrated by the even cooking of the chicken in the skillet without having to constantly rotate it or shift it around. The stainless steel surface layer made cleanup easy. It seems to work as well as some of the big names you see being sold on those 'direct to you' presentations at various events, but at a lesser price. So far, all we have to say is good about the skillet. I thought that it was a little pricey, but my wife told me good cookware is not cheap and I will defer to her call on this. Read more

This 11-inch skillet is fantastic. It’s thick and tough, yet heats evenly and quickly, making cooking a breeze. The copper core really makes a difference, and it’s sturdy enough to handle everyday use. A great addition to our kitchenware and it’s already become a favorite for frying and sauteing. Read more
This pricey skillet looks really nice and feels sturdy right out of the box. The stainless steel has a smooth finish, and the material helps it heat up fast and evenly. It’s heavy in a good way, and it sits flat on the stove, which makes cooking steady. The size is just right for my daily meals. One thing I am upset with the pan is the handle gets very hot, especially near the pan. I accidentally touched that part and my right hand got burned. So, a pot holder or sleeve is definitely needed but it's hard to remember all the time especially when I am in a rush. It’s dishwasher safe, which makes cleaning simple. The pan feels built to last, but I wish the handle was insulated or had some kind of heat protection. Read more
