The transitions from thick to narrow are less harsh than some other products. The tip is slightly thicker than the rest, so this is not a gradual build to size. The T-handle is wide and made of the same flexible material, so it fits surprisingly comfortably. Progress slowly, and get a good lube with this - you probably want something water-based.
