I was very surprised by this queen sheet set. It is polyester microfiber and sells at about a quarter the price of 600-thread count cotton sheets. I was expecting something cheap and tatty. The material is lighter than my cotton sheets, but, probably because of its 1800 thread count and maybe some surface conditioning, it is soft. It fitted my foot deep mattress with fabric to spare and it looks like it could accommodate at least another three inches of mattress depth. There are some nice touches, for example contrasting bands on the pillow edge and a pocket inside the pillow case to hold the pillow in place. The stitching is decent, with raw edges covered and no loose thread or missed stitches that I could find. When I finished making the bed, I stripped and got in for fifteen minutes. The feel is very different from the classic starched cool that good hotels aim for. It was soft and embracing and gently warm. Ambient at the time was 72F with humidity at 70, with air conditioner on in classic Memphis late spring heat with rain. I can imagine that the gentle warmth and reflection of body heat would My main concern is that it might get static, but no signs of that so far, and also that laundering might put microplastics in the environment. These are really decent sheets for the price point. They are soft kind of like flannel but not fuzzy. They’ve been washed many times and still feel like new. The color is a beautiful shade of cool gray. Goes great with blue tones. The corners of the fitted sheet are strong and the elastic has held its shape and hugs the mattress well. I’ve not had them come off at all. I appreciate that the pillow cases have the pocket stitching at the end to keep the pillow inside. It never slips out like my pillows in other cases do. And the stitching on the pillows make them feel a little more luxurious. Overall I have no complaints about these sheets. And you can give them as a gift as they come wrapped in a bow. Read more
