These have been great notepads so far. My wife uses them every week to jot down a grocery list and other reminders. The pages have stayed intact and haven’t started falling out. The paper is just as thick as the other similar notepads she has used before, so they feel solid and not flimsy. I also like that these come in a 12-pack. That’s enough to last her about a year before she needs more. The lines are printed clearly and evenly on each page as well. I’ve seen similar 12-packs priced a little cheaper, but I’ve also seen them cost more. Overall, I think these are a very decent deal for the money. I would have no problem buying them again. If you're looking for an affordable 12 pack of legal pads that are smaller than this pack is definitely decent for that for me. I'm using these for medical assisting school and they've worked so far just driving down quick notes because I do like to transfer my notes to a nicer notebook once I have time during study time using these to keep your notes on permanently or important things isn't really the best idea because pages tend to fall out on the perforated line, but if you're using this for a quick notepad on the go or if you're looking for a cheap bundle to pass out for work meetings or just in the workplace as a note, taking tab or even using it how I do in school for a quick note taking King and then later on putting your notes in a better notebook to keep forever then they're great for that but the quality is not the absolute best but it's good for what it is if you know what I mean! This set of 12 small legal pads is exactly what I was looking for when full size legal pads are just too much. The smaller size is convenient and easy to keep nearby without taking up much space. The paper is lined nicely and works well for everyday writing without feeling flimsy. These are great for shopping lists, to do lists, quick notes, or anything you want to jot down without committing to a big notebook. The media could not be loaded. If you try to tear off a sheet, you'll see the main problem. The tear-strips are not joined together. Most pads like this have a couple staples through all the tear-strips at the top. But, these sheets are unattached right up to the gum binding. To tear a sheet, you have to pinch the top strip, or the whole piece comes out. Like I said, these are expensive compared to other similar products, so at this price, I would expect something much better. Here are some other issues I have with them (On their own, these issues are almost nothing, but they add up to tell the story of an inferior product): ▻ The yellow is way too bright. These are not traditional legal pad pale yellow. these are more of a pure yellow. The same goes for the lines which are deep and heavy, not light blue (The traditional light blue color of the lines isn't just a style choice. The light blue is a guide that can usually be removed from photocopies by using a copier's brightness/contrast adjustments. There's no hope for these ruled lines. They'll show up in every copy.) ▻ The paper is a little bit coarse and slightly unpleasant to touch. ▻ They all say "writing pads" on the top. So when you have one, it's labeled "writing pads" plural. It just stupid enough to irk me. ▻ The corners and edges of many of them are damaged in a very preventable way. ▻ The pads are 5"x8", but the perforations strips are too short which makes each sheet 5"x7 11/32" instead of 5"x7 1/4" like they should be. This is a noticeable size difference if you are adding them to an existing file system. These are mostly fine. I will use them, but knowing what I now know, I would have gone with a different manufacturer. Good luck. Read more
I use these pads for everything - shopping lists, to-do lists, and writing notes. I love this size of pad. It's plenty big enough for lots of writing, yet small enough to fit in my purse. I usually pay around $2 apiece, so this is an excellent price; and these are good quality pads, too. With 12 of them, now I can leave them all over the house and always find at least one when I need it. Read more
I love making lists for everything and find that sticky notes are generally too small and easy to lose. These are the perfect size to keep on the counter or in the car. I am constantly jotting things down and these make it easy to do. The pages are bound securely at the top and are easy to rip off the pad when needed. My kids like to use them to draw on and keep score when playing games. They are very versatile and a great size to slip in your purse or the glove compartment of your car. The paper is good quality and stands up to erasing without tearing. Considering the number of pads that come in the package I think it is a good value. Read more
