I wanted a good power supply to power my LED lights and this was a perfect fit for my needs. High power and high AMPs meant that it could provide enough power (120W max) for my 12v LED strips Silent operations so no noise at all! High quality, great function, and worth the money. Read more

I use this to power LED lights. At 10 amps, that is a lot of light emitting diodes. Most LED's are 2v at around 20 ma. That is around 2500 LEDS if in series of 5's.. You need headroom for a resistor. I does get warm under heavy load so, keep that in your design considerations. I do like the connectors and options. Read more

The media could not be loaded. Whenever I see a 5 amp or more 12V DC power supply I order them because I work on a lot of projects that require this kind of power. I have tested a LOT of power supplies, and this particular power supply is one of the weakest I have ever tested. When received, the barrel connector to 2 wire adapter was smashed, but it was a relatively easy fix. I like these adapters and use them quite frequently. When I tested this power supply for this review, I used two LED fog lights which draw 2.5 amps each at 12V DC. (using other power supplies anyway) For testing purposes, the test leads I am using are 14ga, and I originally used 14ga wires on the 2-wire adapter. I have used this setup many times in the past and have never had a problem. When I started testing, I was surprised that this power supply would not come anywhere near 12V DC with less than a 5-amp load. During the first test I noted that the original 2 wire to barrel connector became too hot to touch, so I switched the 14ga wire I was using to 12ga wires (which were a bit difficult to stuff into the adapter) and retested. This really didn't help much, so I then re-tested with one of my own 2 wire to barrel connectors. This adapter did not get hot like the supplied connector. This helped with the amperage draw "very slightly", but the voltage was still well below 11V DC, nowhere near 12V DC. The power supply itself did not get warm, but I did not test for very long as I realized that I would not be using this power supply for anything over a 2-amp draw. At this point I saw no need for further testing and may use this power supply for low amp loads, maybe. I like the included adapters, but they probably won't be good for high (over 2 amps) loads. Not recommended. Read more

Bare bones power supply, but includes some neat cable options. The power supply works, and outputs 12.28V on my meter, using the included pinout plug. The splitter cable is nice if you are going to power many items, like security cameras. The main reason for the average rating is because the power supply does not include an LED to indicate if it is working. Some would argue that you know the supply is working because you will have power, but everything has an LED, and this not having one is disappointing. It might be trivial, but I feel it is important.
