Took this camping this past week. Initially we needed a freezer to transport our frozen goods, then we needed a refrigerator to bring back the leftovers. This unit worked perfectly! Set to 25F on the way out and everything stayed frozen solid. Then, set it to 40F and everything stayed really cold but didn't freeze. We used to the 120 VAC plug for both directions. I'm installing a cigarette lighter option on the golf cart to see if that feature works as well. If I run into an issue with that installation or the power draw is greater than 20 amps at 13 VDC (260 watts) I'll report back here and edit this review. So far, so good! Read more

Poor quality hinge is made of foam covered in plastic. In less than 6 months the hinge has disintegrated and is no longer usable to keep the door shut without sliding off the top. I would not buy this product again. Make sure you get the extended warranty. I'll update if they actually take care of it through Asurion. Manufacturer ended up taking care of it since it was still under their warranty. Good customer service from this manufacturer. I normally don’t leave reviews but this thing dates one. We took a road trip to the Angle in MN. From OH. And this thing worked PERFECT. We took it in to the hotel and plugged it in when not traveling and plugged it in while in the truck. Worked just like a fridge. Ice cold drinks and food. Work flawlessly. Highly recommended! The media could not be loaded. Got it 2 days ago and started it up yesterday for my car camping trip. After reading reviews and the included pamphlet I decided to set it on 20 degrees to make sure all my food stayed just above freezing. 5 hrs later my waters were slushy so I turned it up to 27. This morning my milk is almost frozen, got enough for my coffee:-) I was afraid it would be too small but got this size to fit in the front seat, and I was able to get a bunch of water and food in for my 2 day trip with plenty of space left over. I love that I can switch the door opening because while outside the car I have it open to reach from outside and I switched it at night to access from the inside. Operation is as easy as it gets. I plugged it in at home while packing and walked away. It went from 68 to 20 in about 30 min. Instructions explain it is measuring the walls and floor and I didn't think the air felt that cool but don't yet have a thermometer to measure it. Just know that at least in the fall weather in the mid 70s it does a great job! I was kinda hoping it would put off some heat but I didn't feel it. It was down to 40 last night. I have not had any issues to date with this cooler. If I need to regulate the interior temperature I will use a fridge thermometer like I do in my fridge and freezer in the house. I mainly use this for grocery store trips as the nearest store is at least 20-30 minutes away. I wish the outside and lid was not black as it would absorb less heat it it was a lighter color. I can’t hear the cooler running when the car is on. The quality is satisfactory. I like the blue accent color. Read more
