I ordered these after reading the reviews for this and several similar products. I could have purchased cheaper versions but decided the reviews were positive enough, and the price was moderate enough to take a chance that they'd work for me and they did. I have a similar and better set of canopy weights that have twin bags for each leg and really hug the canopy leg much better than these, but after days of searching in my house and barn I couldn't find them. Since time was running out and I knew I needed something to hold the canopy down on a paved surface, these looked like a good option. I have used them twice now, still can't find my other set which are stored somewhere with no sand in them, and I'm impressed with the quality. The handles are sewn on with a box and lock stitch which is extremely strong. The bag itself is two halves sewn together with a single stitch that is adequate and well done but a double stitch like you see on the seams of blue jeans would have been better. Technically the velcro straps are double stitched because they were sewn on to one side of the bag first and then resewn over when the two halves of the bag were sewn together. The zipper looks strong enough and is sewn on with a single stitch line, but again, a double stitch would be preferred. All stitching is well done with no sign of missed or sloppy stitching. I didn't fill the bags with sand but instead had collected half gallon juice bottles and quart sized peanut butter jars that I filled with gravel and placed in the bags. They're a little wobbly stacked inside and don't make total use of the bags capacity but in this instance they were OK. I weighed myself holding a bag on the bathroom scale, and once more without the bag, and determined that my bottles of sand weighed 12 pounds when a juice bottle and a peanut butter jar were placed in each bag. I'm certain that I could have gotten more weight per bag had I filled the bag with sand but I have read reviews of similar products where these type of bags have split open spilling sand inside the vehicle, and I wanted none of that mess. The four Velcro straps on each bag were more than adequate and long enough to fit around the legs of my 10' X 10' canopy. If you take time to put pressure on the overlap they hold very well. I used these bags the second time this last weekend, and in the afternoon it got windy with 12 to 15 mph gusts, and the canopy didn't lift. I know there's probably going to be times when the wind is stronger than these, or any bag can hold down a sail-like structure like a canopy. I hope I don't encounter that. I find these bags worthy of 5 stars due to their construction, capacity for adequate weight in moderate wind conditions, and price point. Read more
After purchasing a canopy I decided to go with some sandbags just in case some of the high winds when we’re out at a show. The weight of the bags and the stability gives my canopy a very stable position and I don’t worry about the wind trying to move it or flip it over. I have a pool so I just use some of the sand from my sandbags for my sand filter and it works great. Read more

Easy swap for plastic weights! These are much cheaper and honestly work better than other tent weights! The quality of these is great and they can hold a lot of sand! If you need some more weight to them just add water to the sand! They held up well and kept my tent down with some heavy winds! Read more
