Great So Far!

I need a device to play music that did not use Wi-Fi as I’m going out of the country. Found this and ordered it. It came the morning. Unwrapped it hooked it to my computer drag the files. It’s working good. Sound quality is OK. I like that It has the wired headphones and that I can add my Bluetooth headphones as well. I’m traveling tonight going out of the country so we’ll see how well it works. I’ll update you later. Read more

A brick is more ergonomic.

Awful interface. Bad programming. If you do almost anything but listen to music, it disconnects Bluetooth. Bluetooth never re-connects on its own. You have to hunt through the inefficient menus to re-pair. Every. Single. Time. Load numbered files onto the card? It ignores the numbers, rearranges everything. AND drops Bluetooth. Play a video? It disconnects Bluetooth, and will not play the video's audio via Bluetooth even if you manage to reconnect it. Navigating menus is a nightmare. Lists of options? Don't push up/down buttons to navigate the list! It'll go instantly into volume level mode. The up/down buttons do NOTHING else. It looks nice. If you can figure out its weird interface and navigate its failures, it plays audio. If you can't find anything better (you can), it's usable. If you plan to give a player to your grandmother (what I had in mind), forget this one. She'll never even get it started. Read more

Good

It’s a good MP3 player and does what it’s supposed to. However, the Bluetooth is a major issue. Sometimes my earphones will connect—but only after several attempts—and other times they won’t connect at all. Even when they do connect, the sound can cut in and out with noticeable interruptions. I originally bought this for my sister, and she mentioned having the same Bluetooth problems, although she still liked the device overall. I thought it might have been an issue with her earphones, so I bought one for myself, but unfortunately, I experienced the same problems. At this point, I’ll probably just stick to using wired headphones. However, that's completely fine. I still like it. I just wish the Bluetooth wasn't an issue. Read more

Seemingly Worthless

I was excited to get this player. It looked like it would overdeliver. However, once I got it...different story. The interface is odd - if you push a down button to navigate the menu, that's wrong and is a volume control. To navigate the menus you either choose left or right - VERY difficult to get used to that. However, I was ok with a learning curve...but once I plugged it into my Windows computer, hoping to start loading music...nothing. Wouldn't show up, couldn't be recognized. It would charge just fine, but the drive itself wouldn't show up. I followed all the instructions, then got creative when that didn't work. Tried a different (but identical) cord - nothing. Tried my Mac as a Hail Mary - still nothing. A shame, because it seemed to have promise. The computers easily recognize other externals and my IPod, but not this player. Read more

Numbering of track 10 comes up as 2

Doesn't understand the number 2. When you number the file in order, so the MP3 device will play the songs in order of the album, as soon as it gets to the number 10, it places that song as number 2 to play. The only thing I can think of is it sees 10 as a binary number of 2. I wasted A LOT of time tinkering with this device to come up with a work around. But I gave up. Sending it back. Read more
