It's a scary amount of money for something you can't try before you buy
Wow. Just wow. I have been to over half dozen furniture stores trying to find a couch just like this. Was realllly leery about spending this much money on a couch I've never sat on. The packaging was excellent. I got the 3-section couch, and there were 4 boxes - each section came in its own box, and then the arms came together in one more box. The power cable and interlocking mechanisms are very well designed. You can daisy chain the power cords, or have them be stand alone. Each couch section can lock to another or stand alone. The only pieces that were unique were the arms, there was one definite right and one definite left. All the pieces just clicked together, and each was very well wrapped. The freight company called me a week before to organize the date, and then 24 hrs out to confirm the delivery window. The driver called 15 minutes out to let us know when they would arrive, and they brought each box to the location we wanted the couch (which was first floor, not sure they would take it upstairs). Assembly was quick. The couch is stunning. It's modern, but works great with our semi-traditional house. It doesn't have to be very far out from the wall for the recliners to have a full range of motion. The firmness is spot-on, not mushy, and not hard. I would describe it as 'springy'. It's already my favorite spot to read a book. One thing I really like is the depth of the seats. I'm a tall person (F, 5' 9.5"), and surprisingly a lot of couches are too big for me to sit on and keep my feet on the ground, but this one is just right. Which means it might be a tad big for some, but it's not as deep as most of the couches in furniture stores! I've tried so many couches where my feet don't even touch the ground, so I'm thrilled this one fits just right! We got all power recliners for each section, and it was worth it. I'm so glad we had the option. Usually the person in the middle seat is sad and forgotten, but I appreciate that there was an option to configure the couch the way you like. Since we don't have pets, I can't speak to the performance of the fabric, but living in the desert (AZ) - sitting on leather is disgusting. I'm glad that the fabric can be removed and washed. The only issue we had, and it need not be an issue, is that we didn't put felt on the feet before sliding the sections across our very dark wood floors. The legs/feet feel smooth, but some had sharp enough edges to leave some pretty long scratches. I'm not deducting stars for this because it's a 10-star couch, and also the legs/feet felt smooth to the touch, but if you have wood floors, strongly consider buying some of those sticky, round felt pieces (~1.5" diameter) and apply them before you even screw the feet into the couch. I already had the felt pieces and feel dumber for not having done this. I can't think of an online purchase that has been a bigger gamble and paid off so well. So glad I went for it!
