Picked this up intending to install it inside a two bay (car) garage / workshop but only had about 13 feet clearance from floor to ceiling and while this is really bright and a rather solid/sturdy light the distance from light source to work area or even the floor isn't high enough to really make use of this lights optimal output in my opinion. I have to say that it really is optimally built for a gas station layout as it shows in the product page. More so, what I think is best conveyed or I am trying to say is that if you really want to basically achieve a scenario where your getting the most output in terms of light intensity and total area lit (not the slag version of the word) than I'd say a setting where the light is about 20 feet from floor to ceiling, or higher perhaps, is best. Anything under 15 feet I'd say your wasting both money for a product such as this and electricity in terms of power consumption the light needs VS what your truly getting from it in terms of output relative to total area of light coverage. By no means does this mean is a bad light, its really durable and bright, just consider the application or area first. Read more

I got this to place on the inside rafters of a covered basketball court. The kids had started playing later and later and as the days got shorter they had started bringing flashlights and lanterns to light it up. This seemed like a good solution. It was very easy to install and when I turned it on after dark the court was suddenly as bright as day. It’s an amazing value for an incredible energy efficient light. Read more

This is probably mostly my fault for not realizing what this was. I thought "canopy light" meant I could use if for my home canopy. This is a very heavy, very bright, commercial grade light for commercial use. So long as that's what you're getting it for, it should do the job just fine. Read more

This light is incredibly bright. Please don't put this hanging from an 8 foot ceiling. You will almost certainly damage your eyes! If you have high ceilings, a shop, or a barn, this is a fantastic light. At 21000 lumens, this thing will definitely brighten up your space! I wish it had other mounting options (such as a chain hook hole or something) but it can easily be rigged up if you're in that situation. Overall, this is an incredibly bright light that you will be very happy with in the right use case! Read more

This is a very heavy duty (and pretty heavy) and bright light like what would be used at a gas station under the canopy. We used it as a light for under our Gazebo and it is very nice and bright. Read more

I didn't read product description well enough to understand - I thought this was for a pop up gazebo canopy but it's much too large for that. Instead we installed in the garage and it's bright as day. High quality, bright white light, easy to install (needs hardwired) if you are comfortable working with wires yourself. Read more
