I purchased this portable DVD player and I used it to listen to my music using the USB port. The first day I used it to listen to my music, everything was working fine. But the second day, I noticed my screen was flickering. I called Customer service and they were able to send me a replacement in 2 days. After that, everything was working perfectly. The speakers sound could be pretty loud. It was a good buy, I loved it. One important thing I need every one to know is that even though you use the remote control to press the power button to shut off, the blue light to the right corner of the DVD player still lights on. If you're not using it, make sure to also turn off the off switch button next to the USB port area to completely shut off. Also, it's very important that for playing your music, make sure that it is not in the AV WPSettings. If it's in the AV WPSettings, you will not be able to play all your music album. To the right of MODE button, you will see PROG Search button. Click it to get out of AV WPSettings so that you could play all the albums in your music files. Read more

I am giving this 4 stars because perhaps my issue was my own ignorance when reading the description. I read that this worked for all file types so i thought it may be a good solution to use to watch some old family videos stored on CD-Rs. Unfortunately, this does not show you what files are on the disk. Ever disk we tries registered "no disk detected," except the one that was a movie disk. So, if you are looking for something portable just to play DVDs that is portable, it's great, but if you want to use it to read other files on the disk or watch homemade videos, I'd say pass. Overall a great portable dvd player. I got this to use at my desk while I’m working and have a movie or series to watch instead of background music. Sound and picture quality are great for this price point. It would’ve been nice if it had a bag to store everything when not in use. Read more

I'm 74 years old and technology and I are not on good terms. I spent over an hour last night trying to get it to work, to no avail. There were terms like AV IN, DC Adapter Interface, USB Flash Drive, etc. I have no clue what this means. My husband couldn't figure it out either. I was thinking of buying a laptop, but I know that I would never be able to hook it up so I'm forgetting about that. Anyway, it looks nice and the price was right. Read more
