I use these under my furniture on my hardwood floors, and they are working as intended. I tried adhesive backed pads previously, but they would fail and then the furniture legs would spread adhesive and scratches on the floor. I like these foam backed sliding pads - the furniture settles into the foam to lock them into place and I have had no problems with them slipping off. I’m using these on a ceramic tile floor. They do in fact make moving heavier items easier, though to say they glide is a bit much. I am much less concerned about scratching the tiles when I use these. For the money, they are worth it. Read more

I installed new laminate floors through an entire floor of my house and was extremely concerned about moving the kitchen and laundry appliances and recliners around the house. I was nervous about sliding anything across the floor but these did the trick. I was able to slide the oven, washer, dryer and recliners across the floor by myself with extreme ease and there weren't even any traces that something had touched the floor. These are two-sided a light colored felt side and a black foamy side. The directions state that the light side faces down and the black side faces up. Just remodeled our basement and put down luxury vinyl tile. Wanted to protect our investment so I bought a pack of these. They seem to do the trick as far as protection, but I thought they would also slide fairly easily enabling me to move furniture by myself. We have some hard bottomed ones that work amazingly well on carpet, heavy furniture glides so I thought this would be a similar experience. It was not. Furniture does not glide, it will move but it's not an easy process. But definitely does protect the floor so I won't return these even though I was hoping for the ability to be able to slide my furniture around easily. Read more

I had extra after putting them under my couch legs, so I put them under my coffee table as a temporary fix (it doesn’t really have legs, just long broad based on either side) but these worked so perfectly I forgot I was going to look for anything else.
