Purchased these to get poo out of our 50 gallon breeder axolotl tank. Works great! Reaches to the bottom perfectly without submerging entire pipe. This is a perfect tool for my Betta fish tank work!! It's EXACTLY what I wanted. I prefer this over a hose or pump for suction/ cleaning. This is perfect for sucking up things off my tank substrate, but yes, I have to do it gently, because I DO pull up some tiny sand/ substrate with it. But not a big deal. I also use this for small water changes, adding water back etc. My fish LOVES chasing the water drops when I use this. It works as it's supposed to, great suction, BUT sometimes the top rubber bulb can slip out of place, and then, you'll get a leak, so, no issue, I just push the rubber bulb back into place, and then... Although I have an electric gravel cleaner/water changer, it is far too bulky to use between precisely place rocks and plants in my aquarium. This leads to unwanted accumulation of debris. With this pipette, and its very long length, I can precisely target little piles of unwanted waste, dead plant material, or whatever and remove it without disturbing the meticulous aqua-scaping I did in the tank. The pipette is made of acrylic and rubber, fortunately impervious to being knocked off the table by a cat looking for mischief to make. So, I'd say that this pipette is a definite asset in my aquarium cleaning lineup. Read more
