I recently purchased the SKitphrati 17-inch LED Monitor and wanted to share my thoughts for anyone considering it. Right off the bat, I was impressed with its affordability—at a time when high-end monitors can be outrageously expensive, it’s refreshing to find a product that delivers solid performance without breaking the bank. Design & Setup The monitor is lightweight, sleek, and fits perfectly on small desks, making it ideal for home offices or as a secondary display. The setup process was effortless—simply plug and play. It connects easily via VGA, making it compatible with a wide range of devices. The built-in stand is a nice touch, allowing for quick setup by just opening the metal bar and leaning the monitor back. Display Quality For a 1440x900 resolution, the visuals are crisp and clear, making it well-suited for office tasks, web browsing, and even casual streaming. The LED backlighting ensures a bright and sharp display without excessive power consumption. While it may not satisfy hardcore gamers or graphic designers, I found little to no difference in picture quality compared to my more expensive, name-brand monitor. Colors are vibrant enough for everyday use, and with a few adjustments to the settings, the display can be fine-tuned to personal preference. Performance This monitor excels for tasks like working on spreadsheets, checking emails, and general office work. It’s not designed for high-refresh-rate gaming, but for everyday productivity, it gets the job done smoothly. Given its budget-friendly nature, I didn’t expect ultra-fast response times or a high refresh rate, but for what it is, it performs reliably. Durability & Value After three weeks of use, I’m fully satisfied. It’s an inexpensive yet functional monitor that works well as a backup or secondary screen. I’m hopeful it will last a couple of years, given its sturdy build. If you need an affordable, no-frills monitor for basic tasks, this is an excellent choice. Overall, if you’re setting up a home office, looking for an additional monitor, or working within a tight budget, the SKitphrati 17-inch LED Monitor is a solid, practical choice! Read more

Do not buy this. It has a glassy coating and the pictures dims and darkens if you move your head. Waste of money and cheaply made. Not at all what I was expecting and was not worth the money they charge. Very cheaply made and outdated. I did not even know that poor quality monitors like this even existed in the world today. Very poor viewing quality. Unusable. Read more

I am currently using a 32 inch monitor and bought this to use it as a second monitor. This is a simple monitor, plug n play and works great to be used in home office setup. Display is bright, vibrant and pretty similar to the name brand monitor i have been using. I see little to no difference in picture quality. Agree, that this is not great for gaming but excellent choice for regular office work on spreadsheets, emails which do not require 1ms response time or 180hz frequency. Hope it lasts for couple of years. Read more

The LED screen is bright and clear, good quality. The only drawback is the pedestal does not offer the ability to tilt the screen. Read more

Compact and Reliable Monitor for Everyday Use I’ve been using the SKitphrati 17-inch monitor for a few weeks now, and it has proven to be a solid addition to my workspace. The compact size is perfect for my limited desk area, allowing me to work efficiently without feeling cramped. The 1440x900 resolution delivers clear and sharp visuals, suitable for general tasks like browsing and document editing. The 75Hz refresh rate and 5ms response time ensure smooth performance during regular use. However, it’s worth noting that the TN panel’s viewing angles are somewhat limited; colors can shift when viewed from the side. This hasn’t been a significant issue for me, as I typically work directly in front of the screen. Setting up the monitor was straightforward, with both HDMI and VGA ports providing flexibility for various devices. The inclusion of VESA mount compatibility is a nice touch for those considering wall mounting. Overall, this monitor offers good value for its price point. It’s a practical choice for everyday computing needs, especially if you’re working with space constraints. Read more

All the negative reviews were read after this monitor was purchased for use in my amateur radio station. Most of the complaints were valid :0). For example, the monitor controls are indeed on the back and require a Braille approach from the front to operate. The stand is also not completely rigid. The user manual leaves much to be desired and there is no PDF download available. Now all that said, the monitor subchassis is metal and both the VGA and HDMI ports work as expected. Screen resolution is acceptable and the monitor controls can be deduced from their labelling and use. So, the price point is probably acceptable for most people all things considered. The only possible problem is the mean time between failure (MTBF) and the monitor is going through a burn-in cycle now before the return date expires. Read more
