This is a mattress topper that is a must have for a dorm. Unpacking – When I first unboxed it, it was so tightly compressed that I worried it might not expand well. But about 90% of it expanded within 10 minutes. The rest stayed a bit flat due to the compression, but after fluffing it by hand, it rose to normal. In about 20 minutes, it looked fully expanded. Design – The memory foam has a unique carved floral design. Since many memory foam toppers are flat, I thought these bumps might feel uncomfortable. After the foam expanded, I put on the cover and touched it, and the texture still felt bumpy. However, when I lay down, it gently pressed down to the shape of my body, so it wasn’t uncomfortable at all. I think the gaps between the bumps allow for better airflow in hot weather, which makes it even better. Performance – I previously tried a 3” shredded memory foam topper that was stitched into sections. Each section had a different amount of shredded foam, which made the surface uneven. The topper I bought this time is made from a single solid piece of memory foam, so the height is consistent across the entire surface. The middle area has more foam compared to the top and bottom edges, which gives extra support for the heavier waist and hip areas of the body. I’m really pleased with this 4-inch memory foam topper. It came neatly and compactly packaged, which made it easy to move and set up by myself. I was surprised by how lightweight it is for the size, yet it still feels very sturdy once laid out. After letting it expand, it fit perfectly on my mattress. One of the best parts is that it doesn’t slide or move around at all during the night, even when I toss and turn. The comfort is just right, not too soft that you sink in completely, but soft enough to add a nice layer of cushioning and support. It’s made my mattress feel so much more comfortable and I’ve noticed I sleep more soundly. This is amazing. Helped my back pain. Made it so I can sleep all night through. Very comfortable. Fits bed perfectly. Easy to unpackage and put on. Only bad thing was it did have a weird smell for a few days. I sprayed with Lysol and let it air out and after about five days it didn't smell anymore. Totally worth it to be able to sleep pain free. This is a great mattress topper! It’s a true twin size that I got to top a guest fold out bed. It seems like a dense piece of foam that should last awhile and is comfortable to lay on. When I opened it up to air out, I didn’t notice any smell, and once it came out of the package it took about 24 hours to expand to its useable size. But since I’m only using when I fold out the guest bed I need to roll it up to store it, and it’s a pretty good size roll, but manageable to roll up. But you’ll need a closet if you store it.
