This is the best self adhering tape I've ever used. Up until this purchase, I'd bought my tapes at neighborhood pharmacies, trying out both name brand and store brand tapes, (which were both about the same in terms of quality, adhesiveness, ease of use etc). I'm NOT a fan of all the colors sent since they don't match my wardrobe at all, (except the green ones which I used for St. Patrick's Day!), but all those colors are very much worth it because this tape is fantastic! The tape has excellent adhesion, is easy to tear, (Since I use it on my arthritic wrist to add support and hold a lidocaine bandage in place) stays on all day, dries quickly after I've washed my hands and is a very, very reasonable price! (The store brands and name brands all run about $6.00/roll, whereas these cost $2.49/roll) Crazy colors or not, I'll be buying these sports tapes again... and often! Read more
I've had several hand surgeries, and I use these animal wraps instead of the medically recommended hand wraps to add some compression to my aching hands. This works better than any glove I have ever found since you can make it tighter or looser depending on the need. Plus this brand doesn't have the stickiness that comes with the different types of medical and sports tapes that I have tried. I can even wash my hands without ruining the adhesion, I just have to let it dry a bit longer...no big, considering they are the best thing ever! Only con- they often smell like hay, or maybe alfalfa, and I air it out a bit. It's usually not too strong though. Read more
As the proud parent of the dumbest cat alive, this was a real life-saver. He managed to break a toenail very close to the root while having one of those cat freakouts where they run around the house launching themselves off of every available surface like they think they're the parkour world champion. It would have healed fine if he'd left it alone but oh no, this little jerk waited until we'd fallen asleep and then chewed and chewed his foot until he'd punctured and infected three out of four toes. It looked so awful in the morning that we honestly and thought he'd contracted some sort of flesh-eating virus overnight. One frantic vet trip, an antibiotic, some pain meds and an unnecessary x-ray later, we were told he'd almost certainly inflicted most of the damage himself and to try to keep the wound uncovered but clean. Yeah, that didn't work out. Even full of pain killers, this stupid, adorable brat would not stop ripping at his foot and opening up the scabs. We tried a couple different cones of shame (one rigid, one soft) to unsuccessful but hilarious results before ultimately decided we just had to keep the foot covered for a while. So began the quest to find a covering that was sturdy, breathable, and comfortable enough that he wouldn't devote himself to tearing it off. We went through our entire supply of pet and human sterile bandages and paper tape in all different configurations before we ordered this. It's lightweight enough that it doesn't bother him too much and it breathes well enough to keep the wound aerated. It doesn't adhere to itself super well, but that might've been because we were applying it to the furry foot of a whiny baby and couldn't press down on it hard enough to "lock" the edge of the bandage in place, so we just taped it down, but I would have liked it if it stuck to itself a little better. After a few days, the wound has healed enough that we were finally able to take off the bandage without having him immediately start chewing it again. Yaaaay. So that's a tentative victory, knock on wood. I also really like that it comes in so many colors. The hot pink matches his collar. Read more
I really loved using this over my CGM to keep my special needs students from ripping it out. It stayed in place on my arm and I was able to take it off and use it again the next day. I did need someone else to wrap my arm so it would not be to tight for circulation. Read more
Awesome product I purchase so many of these self adhesive gauze... I got hurt at work, so I walked to the office to get a couple bandages and some gauze and found one of these thing a ma bobbers, so I wrapped my arm up and when I got done I though well hell how am I going to keep it together, I need a clip or close pin, none to be found anywhere, I was about to take the gauze wrap off my arm when I let go I was dumbfounded and shocked that it was a self adhesive...and I loved these power wraps ever since....my 5 year old nice got hurt on the rocks last week and had some decent scratches on her knees and she would not let anyone touch her or even come close to her knees... Couple minutes past and I told her this won't hurt at all, she let me wrap both knees up in pink and she was happy again...they also kind of looked like knee pads ...the only down fall is she had it on her knee so about 30 to 45 minutes later they were starting to bunch up Read more
I love this tape! I have a Blue Heeler, Harley, that broke a small bone in her front right “ankle”when she was a puppy, and now has trouble sometimes after a lot of running, and wind sprints; so now I tape her leg before any running just like any athalete would. She really does not mind the tape, and does not chew at it because it is so comfortable; plus we LOVE the purple, and are looking forward to getting some hot pink. Had a bout of nasty tendinitis so I picked up a big box of this athletic tape. Was a little taken aback when it had horses all over the packaging but it does state that it’s approved for human use, and I guess if it holds up on a 600lb animal it’s good enough for me. My only complaint is that if it gets at all twisted when you’re wrapping you mind as well throw it out. Read more
