for $10 this is a great deal. if u cook regularly u have likely used some version of this tong & usually the versions u can find @ a local big box or etc the rubber/plastic tip is very hard & not flexible & prone to breaking or cracking & then it exposes the metal beneath & it can start to rust &/or also scratch appliances, plates, etc. these are what i was hoping for. the plastic/rubber tips are a thick sturdy yet quite flexible & will last a lot longer. so, $5 ea is a great deal. i will say though that the shorter ones are shorter than i thought they'd be & longer ones longer than i thought. everyone manufacturer/distributor seems to measure these differently. but they are a good product @ a great price & i definitely recommend. especially if u do much pan &/or air frying, these are almost essential.
