I looked at many tissue box covers before choosing this in white. The garish, primary colored tissue boxes looked absolutely awful with my decor, so the obvious solution was to make them disappear. I considered metal ones, but some reviewers said the finish wore off, and it occurred to me that they might scratch the countertop if they got "scooched around." The plastic is cost effective and waterproof if it gets splashed while on the bathroom counter. I received the items in perfect condition, and they are generously sized, so they fit easily over the tissue boxes. They are clean and simple looking so as not to clash with your chosen decor. I wanted a black cover for my tissues in the bathroom and these do the job. They look nice and I would have given 5 stars, but just a little detail is that the opening at the top is a little wider than I would have liked. Even though wider is better than too narrow, I would rather not see the bit of tissue box it is supposed to cover. Probably only I see it. Read more

So, these ARE perfectly functional and they WILL probably last forever (unfortunately). What they are NOT is decorative OR bronze: they are very shiny, very brown, very obviously plastic. This was my mistake. I was in a hurry to order two bronze tissue cube covers, saw that this product was a two-fer for slightly less than I had planned to pay and delivery promised before the arrival of guests, AND the accompanying photos showed a basic cube with a matte bronze matte finish that -- from the photos -- would blend (and not scream “PLASTIC”) in the presence of other bronze metallic bathroom accoutrements. Still , they do solve the problem of tissue box cardboard colors that clash with the room decor, so here they’ll stay. Read more
