Just as good as the OEM. I know some users report and odor, but I did not detect anything other than clean air. Great value for the money and I am now on Subscribe and Save with this item. Functional and easy to replace. Plastic rim allows for changing date to be written on so you can note how long it's been even though the machine will cue you to replace it. Don't get complacent and keep turning off the change reminder--I let mine go 8 mo in my bedroom over the spring/summer, which was way too long looking at the dust buildup; I even dust and vacuum regularly to keep my sleeping space clean, so seeing what this is picking up is an eye-opener and speaks to the quality of the filter performance.
