Be Sure to Reset Filter-Life Button
I replaced my Shark HP202 filter with this one, and after doing so the filter life button blinked showing 69% life. I was surprised by this, and then I remembered to reset the filter button by pressing and holding it for 3 seconds until it beeped three times to reset the filter-life button to 100%. At first, I thought it was a bad filter, but it was me - all me - not resetting the button! This filter fits exactly as expected and replaced another brand that had worked well for me for 9 months. I replace these filters every 9-12 months depending on the air quality in our area. This brand is not one I've used before, however, it seems to look identical to the one it replaced and fit as expected. It arrived in a sturdy box, sealed in plastic. The filter fits and is working to keep the air-quality in my home as good as it can be. Assuming it lasts 6-12 months, I'll be happy with it. ---------------------- UPDATE: 12/3/23 My Shark air filter started showing 0% and saying I needed to clean the filter. I took the filter out and used a rag to wipe off the dust on the outside of the filter, then replaced it and it went back to working at 100% clean (69% filter life). I do live in a house built in 1975, it's in a rural location, and we have a dog and cat. Things get dusty, and thus the air filter. I was surprised when the filter was choking as none of the outside ports to the filter were dirty. I was going to purchase a fresh filter, but since this is showing it still has a lot of life left, I'll wait. If I have more issues like this one I will assume it's the filter as I didn't have that issue with the last one which was a Shark brand. -------------------------------------- Read more
