These baskets were quite a bit larger than I was expecting and seem to be very good quality, with a good weave and a nice look. At a glance they look like true rattan, but are plastic on wires. They would be great for a hallway table for car keys, wallets, etc., a larger bathroom for guest toiletries, makeup, or even washcloths, sewing supplies, or really most anything. They are heavier than rattan, but I don't see this as a problem. In fact, they should be suitable for relatively heavy items compared to actual rattan. The lids fit well and the construction means they'd work well on a patio table. I haven't had them long enough to need to clean them, but it should be a simple matter to wipe them clean or even rinse them under running water, which of course, you can't really do with something like rattan. As far as value, they're priced similarly to other baskets of this size and type. Go for this one for durability, ease of cleaning, and strength. Read more

These are really nice looking rattan-like baskets with lids. The lids fit nicely on top of each basket and lift easily with the large knob. They almost look like real rattan until you look closely and then realize it's polyethylene. This will make it easy to clean. It is well crafted without any loose ends or large spaces between the strands. These baskets are versatile and can be used for many different things starting with the bathroom ( disposable hand towels, scented soaps, etc...), kitchen (fruit, small spice bottles etc...), breezeway ( potpourri) or anything or anywhere you want. Wow, these pumpkin baskets are a good size. The large one can certainly be used as a fruit bowl. It is also large enough to sit on our raised hearth with fall flowers and foliage which is how I will use it. The smaller (still a good size as noted in the presentation) can add that autumn touch almost anywhere. Because these are woven in a plastic type of material rather than organic, they are more for decorative storage IMO. They are well structured and sturdy. I did not notice any chemical smells upon opening. The inside of the covers have metal loops woven in to keep the covers in place and not sliding around. The color is a subdued soft orange. Great for patio/ porch decor whether being used to store coasters,napkins, etc or to pass out Halloween candy, I like these baskets. Read more

These are beautiful looking baskets and looks like real rattan baskets. They are nice and sturdy baskets and the fact they are a plastic type material they clean easy. The large one is perfect for keeping sewing supplies and the small one nice place to it phones and cords so they don’t get lost. Read more

Although these baskets are not rattan, they look as if they are, but they are stronger and easy to clean. You can just wipe them of if they get dirty. They look beautiful and can be filled with lots of things. The bigger one I used to store bottles with mouthwash and things like that. I can't close the lid, but that's okay. They look beautiful on a shelf or table, like the smaller one. They are wonderful and I know I will use them in many different ways. Read more
