The magnets on these are stronger than I expected! My older fans had to be tied up or they would fall apart on the first bump in the fairway. Although these have an easy to use Velcro strip for extra support, we haven’t had the need to use them. My wife loved them so much I ended up buying a second pair for her. The charge lasts a long time, even on high. We had a 5 hour round due to our club reopening after 9 months and every tee time was taken. Not only did the fans perform flawlessly, they still had a lot of life when we got home! The light is a great addition and came in handy one night while I was tinkering in the garage. It also has a timer but we never use it. When we’re done we just turn it off. The fans are smaller than my old ones but they push a lot of air for their size. Another thing we love, they are more durable than our other ones. The old ones would break apart from the grill ring at the first bump. They come in a handy case which we carry with us and place in the cart bin. It contains the charging cable, Velcro straps and is easy to keep everything together. As I search for a fan to take along on my upcoming cruise, I have tested this fan in comparison to a few others. This fan is definitely feature packed, and has much to offer; the box says it is good for golf, cruise, and gym, and unfortunately I don’t find it ideal for a cruise. Out of the box this set is impressive especially with the convenient hard shelled carry case! I have not found another set of fans packaged like this, and it is excellent! In addition this set comes with 2 drawstring carry bags which are great if I’m putting these fans into my travel or gym bag. It also comes with 2 hook and loop straps to help secure the fan, 2 USB A to USB C charging cables, a user manual, and a customer support information card. As I check out the fan itself, I took it straight to my refrigerator to test the magnet, and found it strong enough to hold the fan, but the small base size makes it easy to remove. Clearly if I were using this on a bumpy golf cart, I would definitely recommend using the included straps. However, on a cruise, I can’t strap it to the wall or ceiling, and if we hit rough seas, I am not so sure that it would stay in place on its own. I would not be pleased if I am hit by a flying fan. This fan is powerful, and somewhat loud if on high. These fans have 12,000mAh rechargeable batteries pre-installed, and after testing them, I am disappointed with the battery performance. The item description states that on high, these fans will last 7 hours, but when I tested them, they only lasted 5.5 hours, which will not work for me on the overnight. On the 2nd power level these batteries are supposed to last 12 hours, but only ran for 10 hours. Clearly these batteries are underperforming, and I did not test them at the lowest speed because it has a very weak output and I will never use them at this level. In comparison to 2 other fans with 10,000mAh batteries, they provide a very similar run time, and I expected more from a larger battery. Also, these fans do not have a battery level indicator which is a feature that I really do prefer, but not a deal breaker. The charging time for these fans is approximately 6.5 hours, and the included charging cable measures 3’ 4” long. The same cable can be used to either charge the fan through the IN type C port, or I can charge my phone using the OUT type A port if needed. The controls for this fan are easy to use, clearly marked so I can see what they are, and illuminate so I know which setting I’ve selected. There are 3 buttons, one that controls the low, medium, and high fan speeds, one that controls the lighting offered at 30%, 60%, and 100%, and the 3rd button sets the timer at either 2 hours, 4 hours, and 6 hours. Each one of these fans weighs 14.6 oz, but it is a little chunky for travel purposes. It does have a removable grill for ease of cleaning, and I appreciate that it is just a twist action, and does not require a screwdriver for removal. However, the grill itself is not super durable, and as it gets squeezed to rotate the fan, I fear that I will crack the grill. This fan rotates 360 degrees and is very tight. This is great for places such as a bumpy golf cart ride as it will stay where it is set, but in the middle of the night while sleeping on a cruise, it will be difficult to turn, and possibly bother others in the room. The item description states “This accessory for golf carts features a flexible head that rotates 360° both vertically and horizontally, directing airflow precisely where needed.” Let me clarify this statement, this fan rotates only 360 degrees, and can do so depending on which direction you have it aiming. Personally I have selected a different fan that rotates a full 720 degrees and moves freely in all directions without moving the base. Overall this is a great set of fans depending on your intended use, and well worth the current selling price of $59.99. I can see them being useful for a golf cart, for school bus drivers, for Rv use, and possibly on a tractor as they will stay where pointed and not move positions when strapped in. However, for cruise travel I do not recommend this set as there are other more suitable options available. The best fans ever!!!! I was hesitant at first bc i didnt think that the magnet or the power would be enough to make a difference on the hot days and i really didn't want to pay as much as I did, and there were cheaper ones, however, im glad I went with these . They are so powerful, and last a long time on a single charge! I sit in school pickup line for over 30mins in 100° weather and use these. They are worth the price! The magnet is super strong, I go over speed bumps and inclines and they dont budge at all, I don't even use the extra safety strap. These have 3 speed options, 3 timer options, and a 3 mode light feature that works independently or spontaneously w the fan on/off. Read more
