I bought these because I shower at the gym and needed something lightweight, portable and absorbent. When I took these out of the package and felt them I was instantly skeptical (they do not feel or look like traditional towels at all) and was sure it would just push the water around on my skin and be useless. Boy was I wrong!!! This towel is amazing!!! By far the most absorbent towel I have ever dried off with! And it folds/rolls up incredible small- taking up no room in my gym bag! It dries super quick too! If you are looking for a thick, cushioned traditional towels, this is NOT it, but if you need a powerhouse of a towel (that might feel a little weird to the touch, but it is silky soft) then this will not disappoint! Love these so much! Use on the beach and on the plane as a lightweight easy packable blanket. Also use wrapped around me as a beach cover up. Does a great job repelling sand and dries quickly! I know why people are a little all over the place with these because they do not feel like a towel but I used them the first day I got them and was thrilled. A great purchase and yes perfect for anyone who is traveling because it literally takes up the same space as a small hand towel but does the job of a huge beach towel. No complaints here and will keep buying this kind of beach towel from now on as it takes up no space in my towel closet, and I think all of us are in need of more space. Pros - Towels packed down nice and small, had their own bags, and sand didnt stick to them. Patterns were nice and they dried fast. Cons - These don't feel as absorbent or warm as other types of thin camping towels. Kinda feels like, well, a plastic towel. I purchased these because I wanted something small that could go into a backpack for travel, camping, or backpacking trips. These pack a lot smaller than a traditional towel and do a good job drying. Having two is a bonus, I leave one in my backpacking pack and rotate the other around as needed. These towels are large and of good quality. They come with zippered pouches which I use to store the towels in. The pouches are half mesh so you don't have to worry about storing a wet towel in them. I've taken my towels to the beach, the lake, multiple camping trips as a backup for spills or random swimming holes, and on international trips. These pack down to about the size of a tablet. These are NOT like traditional towels- imagine more like one of those Absorber cloths that dries off cars? If you are looking for a towel that feels like a regale beach towel or house towel, these are not that. These towels pack down small and are highly absorbent- they get you dry incredibly quick. Because they don’t hold the same moisture as a regular towel because of the material they are made of, they also don’t get weighed down with extra water. If you have a lot of water or they fall into some water, all you have to do is twist the water out of them. These also do not hold onto any smell to them if you have to pack them up and reuse them. And they don’t trap sand like a regular towel. They fit in a small purse or backpack and are great for when you are traveling and taking in beaches, water activities or even if you happen to get stuck in the rain. I didn't realize that these "towels" were not actually towels (i.e. terry cloth & absorbent), but a just piece of cloth. Maybe I misunderstood "microfiber "was," but I was expecting an actual absorbent towel. I assumed it would be thin (the price told me that), but that just means it dries quicker. Pro: color matches picture, dries quickly, large Con: not really absorbent (it's more like trying to dry yourself with a piece of regular cloth), not actually a towel After using these, I came to the conclusion that if you wanted a piece of fabric to put on sand, these would probably work great as they are large enough for most people to lie on. The microfiber is probably better than terry cloth for not collecting sand, but it isn't better at absorbing water. (It's more like you are wiping the water off & air drying.) Read more
