This light is extremely bright! I like the convenience of being able to plug it in so I don't need to hire an electrician. The long cord allows me to put it where I want and it reaches the outlet. I bought it to be an extra light in my horse barn and it works perfectly. Read more

If y’all want for a garage to be as bright as the sun, or feel like you are being interrogated by the CIA, this light is for you! I got two thinking I’d need both for a 2 car carport. (To help out my husband who’s up before the sun, and works on cars till after the sun has gone down. I was trying to be helpful, and Lort, it’s perfect. He can work on vehicles whenever his heart feels the urge. ) I tell you, 1 is bright enough. I feel like if I add the second one we all may go blind. LOL we’re building a home gym for our son, so we will probably add it to that. But I tell you what, these lights are worth it. I will buy more to brighten up every dark spot possible. LOL Read more

Its quite small but still very bright - I don't have a way of measuring lumens but temporarily mounted this next to my existing 4FT LED lights in my garage for a comparison and this is just as bright as one of the 4 foot units which are rated at 4500 lumens. 18,000 lumens would be 4 times as much light and this does not seem 4 times brighter to me. Power consumption measured at the wall was 88 watts vs the 150 claimed. Color temperature is more on the "Cool" side of white which it should be at 5000k - not quite blue but it was more of a blue-white than my existing lights which are slightly warm-white at 4000k, so the color temperature I believe is accurate. 6000k (to me) is when things start looking noticeably blue tinted, for reference. There IS some PWM "flicker" - this may bother some people more than others. If you point your phone camera at a light and see lines moving on the screen that's a good indication the light is flickering(very fast) either due to design or running on a duty cycle to control brightness. This is a very bright light... They claim 18,000 lumens and whether it actually produces that is hard to tell, but the fact remains it's very bright. Just to put this in perspective, A Standard 100 Watt incandescent Edison style light bulb produces about 1600 lumens. That means this LED light should produce the equivalent light of eleven legacy Edison style 100 Watt light bulbs or two 500 watt floodlights and to my eye it seems to come very close. Even though it's producing 18,000 lumens it only consumes about 150 watts to do this. If these were legacy style Edison light bulbs you'd be burning closer to 1100 watts.. Now If you own a ranch like we do and have quite a bit of out door lighting switching to LEDs like this makes a huge difference in our electric bill. If you don't mind the lack of a diffuser then this light would make an excellent work light, it has an adjustable bracket on each side that allows you to place it on the floor and aim it anywhere you want, and the 9 foot power cord means you probably won't need an extension cord. I've only had this a short time but it appears to be weatherproof so I've decided to use it to replace two 500 watt incandescent lights that we were using to light up the side yard next to the residence. I plugged this into a "smart switch" so I can turn it on remotely using Alexa. This is only possible because the included power switch is actually a mechanical switch rather than a "soft switch" That means if you eave the built in switch on you can control it using either a "smart switch" or a "switched outlet" With that said the only thing I don't like about this light is it doesn't have a diffuser so it produces harsh directional lighting. Personally I like my workshop lighting to have diffusers to eliminate the harsh directional lighting. The unit gets a bit warm not hot enough to be a concern. Despite the lack of a diffuser I'm going to go ahead of this five stars Read more

Obvious quality light that can be used outside or inside. It’s plenty bright and easy to install with included hardware or use the adjustable brackets to prop it up on the floor or table. It has a 9 foot cord, and the in-line on/off rocker switch is about 18” from the plug. The back of the aluminum case has ribs for heat dissipation, and it does get warm. I’m torn between installing it on the outside of my shop to light the driveway and using it to provide working light inside my dark equipment shed. The answer, of course, is buy another one or two. Oh, the WARNING?....... There is a plastic hexagon plug with a sealing washer, on one end of the case. The instructions are excellent, but there is no mention of this plug. In the interest of providing information for this review, I unscrewed it….DON’T DO IT! It’s a M10-1.0 thread plug but it screws into a nut, not into the case and, of course, the nut falls off inside. To add insult to injury, there is nothing there that I can see, so I have no idea why it’s there. After trying every trick, I could think of to mate the plug and the nut, I ended up dropping a drop of super glue on the nut, sticking it to one of the inside walls, to keep it from bouncing around. Then I pushed the plug into the hole, securing it with the same super glue. Perhaps, in the future, I will end up tapping the hole and using a matching plug. Read more
