Writing a review about a back-scratcher? Yep. I'm as surprised as you are! I ordered these last year and loved them. With a 4-pack, we were able to each get one, with 2 spares for in other spots. That should be it, right? Nope. We have become very protective of them, "Don't take my scratcher!" when someone lost theirs and tried snagging one of the others. Come to find out, these are the best dang things we've all tried! They are a great size, long enough to get to really tough areas of our backs. These are very, very sturdy little things! My fiance has broken other lesser quality ones. We've blown through several others over the years when they crack, crumble or snap in two with the slightest pressure. There's something about the curve of the finger portion...not too curved and not too straight. ( I feel a Goldilocks scenario here.) The bonus tidbits are these: they have a handy strap at the end if someone wants to hang it up; it has a neutral mid-tone tan color that it goes with almost any decor; and it has a multi-pack of 4 adding to the convenience. Since ordering these last year, I started seeing the writing on the wall--at some point I was going to have to get another set of 4 to stash away in various areas of the house (with two-stories, no one wants to go downstairs after we are settled in! Don't hate.) Not to mention, I need one for my gardening bag, so I don't have to channel my inner grizzly bear and rub my back on a rough tree!) My fiance wants one for his shop out in the garage, too, and maybe one for each vehicle... well, you get the idea. This is a very well designed product. So many "back scratchers" have rounded handles ethic easily let it lay over as it is used. This one has a flat handle and can easily be used to "get to the itch". It's not too tall to go under your shirt and has a great edge to it so it really works well. Read more

Both of mine are dull. I find them to be painful only because I have to push harder because of the dull finish. They are heavily coated. I have been using a nail file to try to sharpen them a little. Read more
