Waste of time
I was hopeful that these would work well, however I've had one installed on my driver's side mirror for a couple of weeks now, and I'm not impressed. The day after installing this, I drove through the rain on my way to work. comparing it to my passenger-side mirror, there was no difference in the way drops of water were either sticking to or shedding from either mirror. Rather than remove it right then, I knew I'd be traveling some, and would likely encounter some different types of rain during my 1800-mile drive. After returning home from this trip, and even taking it through the carwash, I see zero difference between my mirror with this installed, and the one without, aside from maybe a slight extra glare on the mirror with this film installed, making details in mirror with this film on it appear slightly blurry/washed out. I did cut the film to size/shape of my mirror, as it was way too big for my car, however I don't feel like doing so would've compromised it's ability to shed water at all....it just appears to be a bit of a gimmick rather than an actual useful product (after all, if this actually worked well, wouldn't all mirrors and auto glass for that matter be coming like this from the factory)? As you can see from the attached pictures, the water on the mirror appears to have similar droplets of water regardless of whether it is on the film or directly on the mirror glass...possibly more on the film than just the glass itself. Hopefully others have better luck with these than I did - They're fairly inexpensive for what they claim to do. Unfortunately, between the fact that they don't seem to work, were only available in the one size which had to be cut down, and the impact on visibility/brightness of the mirror's image, I can't recommend these at all.
