I received two belts in this set and was charmed by their boho aesthetic. The wooden bead detailing was unique and added a natural, earthy element. The rope material was soft and the tassel ends were tidy and well-made. I used these to cinch oversized dresses and tunics, and they transformed casual outfits into something more intentional and stylish. They were lightweight enough to not weigh down lightweight fabrics. For the price, getting two different styles was an excellent value. These were perfect for festival outfits, beach cover-ups, or any boho-inspired look. Read more
The media could not be loaded. I ordered this incredibly affordable $4.39 set of two "Bruislard" brand rope belts (Amazon ASIN B0G1C5M2TQ), one black and the other white, because I needed something decorative and easy to wear with a variety of casual styles and the price was ungodly inexpensive. However, when they arrived, I was a bit disappointed in that they're really more like tassels than they are belts. There isn't anything wrong with them, per se, as he fit and finish are fine. The weave is good. The beads on securely. But they're more like pretty pull cords, or even as tassels hung around the neck, more so than belts. They're almost too thin in terms of width. A belt generally needs a bit of heft in the middle, and these just don't have that necessary width. But they're still useful, when worn loosely more as an adornment than as an actual cinch mechanism. The yarn is a quality simple weave where I measured the length at about 54 inches each (about 4-1/2 feet long) which is plenty for any belting purpose. The set weighed in at 21 grams (a little over 1/3rd of an ounce each, with the beads attached) so they're very light. And my calipers show they're about 0.045 inch thick (about 3/64-inch). Even so, these belts feel soft and light and they certainly will work with many outfits being simple black and white fluffy tassels with wooden beads on the ends. The set has black and white so we can switch styles with no effort. The cotton linen mix is certainly smooth and the tassels look sturdy enough to last. The softness makes it easy to tie simple knots and the belts stay in place, but they dig in also if you cinch them even only a bit tight, and the knots tend to have to be pried apart. Still, when worn loosely, they match dresses, skirts and loose tops and they fit casual days or themed events. We have to keep in mind the price is almost free, so for this price the set offers good value and useful range. Read more
