One of the greatest blades on the market. They are second in sharpness only to feathers. They are flexible blades so the work really well it slant razors or razors with a pronounced curvature of the blade. I love them because they have no glue and the edge is not coated(more blade feel but less irritations). Read more

Well I cannot profess that these are sharper than feathers but I do think they are as Sharp. That being said I don't get Nic's with these and I think the thicker blade is an advantage and even though I keep my handle fastened tightly I do believe the feathers will flip against the pressure of the hair and cause scraping in some cases ...just my guess. The Kais are much easier to feel the whiskers because of the blade thickness and so when you think you have an area accomplished you really do have it accomplished whereas a thinner blade often tricks you and you have to come back several times. This can effectively shorten your shaving time not having to go over an area you thought you had accomplished already. It is interesting that there is no writing on the blade whatsoever , and after doing research I found out that they Supply blades to other vendors and brand them as needed. I do also think that these blades last longer, not terribly longer, but one shave is about all I got out of a Feather blade where is I can get two out of this one with the understanding I'm being extremely particular in that I like a perfectly smooth baby butt feel where there is zero stubble left. That being said it may be good to know I do shave everyday so the blade does not ever have a serious challenge anyway. So far I am happier with the Kais... I'm not sure if the angle of the blade is steeper or not but that could attribute to why they last a bit longer. So in a nutshell I think shortness is as good as a feather but it's a thicker blade which brings added advantages. For what it's worth these are also easy to get out of their paper Packaging whereas some vendors have a bit of glue making it dangerous to fiddle with them without great care. Read more

Been using Nacet blades for a while and these are about as sharp but with much less nicking. Sor far, a winner. Update: These are great blades. I get a weeks worth of shaves easily with vastly less nicking probably because of the greater thicknesss and rigidity. Very consistent throughout the week . My new go-to. Read more

I bought these because I could not get my normal blades. They are sharp but not as sharp as the feather blades I normally use. I think they are good but I prefer the Feathers. Still an excellent edge, I feel a bit bad giving it 4 stars instead of 5 but if the best are 5 these fall somewhere just short of that. Read more

I'm shaving with an AS-D2 every other day and my beard is dense, coarse, like sheared steel braided cable. I have moderately sensitive skin and I like it baby butt smooth. I've sampled many of the modern super-sharp blades and prefer the Russian Gillettes as well as Japanese Feathers. I'm now working my way through this pack of Kai blades and they may replace Feathers as my go-to. These cut effortlessly and smooth and don't leave me feeling hot or red with any weepers. I'm usually done in two passes and a touch-up pass with these Kai blades. The blades are wrapped in paper covers and stacked in cardboard boxes. There is no wax or glue on the blades. There are no logo markings on the blades, they're blank. These Kai blades are on the more expensive side of what's available, however DE blades are still a great value and this luxury is only a few pennies per blade. I don't know how long they each last - I replace the blade weekly whether it needs replacing or not. Read more

I purchased 4 packs of 5 blades. Based upon the 4.5 star ratings I must assume that i got a defective batch of these blades and had to toss them in the trash after several attempts to shave with them. As the title of this review states it was like dragging a butter knife across my beard relative to say a Feather, Parker, Astra or even a Wilkinson blade. Bottom line is I examined them under a jeweler's magnifying glass and the edges had irregular dark marks and looked roughly honed compared to the other blades I cited above. I make no claim to being a razor blade manufacturing expert but I gave several of the KAI blades a go and had to quickly replace them with one of the other blades mentioned above all of which shave like a champ!. Perhaps this explains why the KAI are no longer available on Amazon. Also none of the KAI blades I received had any trace of a trademark to identify them as did all the above-mentioned blades.
