Horrible, it charged my 2 IPhones fine but as soon as I plugged in my 1875 mini travel hairdryer, it buzzed, sizzled and fried. Blue light never came back on and died. Left me in a horrible bind in Europe. Returning… Read more

We cruise a lot and there are always outlets in the room that we can't use. These will free up the outlets that we need and make good use of what's avaliable. Read more

This works—but could be dangerous if misused! The Trevolty outlet is a useful piece of travel kit. This is essentially a plug configuration device that supports appliances capable of handling higher voltages. This unit is not a step-up/step-down transformer! First, it’s good that the manufacturer doesn’t attempt to pull the wool over anyone’s eyes by claiming this is a voltage transformation kit with genuine transformer abilities. And yes, I have seen that on Amazon. Secondly, the product is mindful of important details like including venting ducts for heat dissipation and detents for securing the outlet plugs. Please see photos. The power station also has a capacitor-based blue LED indicating when the unit is receiving power. I mention the capacitor because if the circuitry is consistent throughout the device, it's probable that the circuitry uses the same capacitance tendency for your electronics. Pros: • The unit is designed tastefully. Its ivory coloring and plugs facing forward and up front are a win. • The station’s outlet detents are a nice detail. They hedge against the power station becoming uncoupled inadvertently. • Most of the outlets needed across the globe are included (this is for users who normally use 120V). • The instructions and warnings are clear. • The manufacturer offers a 12-month warranty. Note, this is likely a replacement of your acquisition cost for the unit, not appliance replacement or injury compensation from failing to read the warnings. • It is reasonably priced for the convenience of plug adaptation. Cons: • In my opinion, the station should ship with an accessory bag for both the plugs and station. Keeping them together in one place would be useful. • This station is squarely designed for the U.S. market. Europeans and the like are out of luck because there isn’t a configuration that allows them to plug in. • Despite the obvious usage detail, for many, it is still too easy to misread this product. It is a 220V AC outlet facilitator. If your intended appliance doesn’t operate in a dual-voltage mode, you’re in for quite the unpleasant surprise! So what’s my overall opinion? The device performs in line with its intended design. However, the important question you should ask is whether or not you should spend a little more for true transforming circuitry? This oversight helps hedge against the potential for mishaps. Would I buy it again? Yes, I would. I am very careful about these types of things, but unfortunately, many are not. I’d be quite hesitant about giving this kit as a gift. Its critical voltage detail is potentially dangerous and the manufacturer walks a fine line. The marketing and packaging are accurate, and to their credit. I don’t believe they can package it any safer besides labeling that reads “This is not a transformer” on the box. Additionally, it’s easy to lose pieces between trips. Therefore, a travel bag is important. For the last two reasons listed, I believe the product deserves 3.5 stars. But we are limited to three in this arena. Read more
