I used to plug our dehumidifier into a 15 amp outlet, but it tripped the breaker several times. I now plug it into a 20 amp outlet and it does fine. I wanted a smart plug for the dehumidifier so that I could program it to shut off during the 4 hours each weekday when electricity rates are higher. This was the only reasonably priced 20 amp smart plug that I could find. The plug was easy to set up and integrate with our Google Home. You need to download a new app, but it seems to work like all of these non-Google smart devices do. I had no difficulty connecting the outlet with my wireless network. It was easy to create a new automation in my Google Home to turn the outlet off at 3 pm and then back on at 7 pm each weekday. I have been using it for about a week and so far it has been functioning flawlessly. The outlet looks nice and seems well made. Read more

If you buy this, please note that it cannot withstand prolonged use over 15 amps. However, when it breaks, it will no longer disconnect. The app is great and has worked since I realized this. It is working well so far. This is the experience that I saw with my first two, I'm on my 3rd now. Using these limitations, it's working well, but it still takes 20 amps just on startup. There is nothing out there, 20 amps and smart, and I love the app Smart Life Read more

Great tool to control and measure the power usage. Easy to set up with google home or smart life. It’s rare to see higher than 15amps , this one can go up to 20 amps, however I am using at 16amps to control EV charger. Read more

Easy to set up but stopped working while I was on vacation, so my pool didn’t get filtered for 6 days, and of course the return window is closed. Use caution! Read more

This does not seem to be actual 20amp as it is consistently tripping. Upon removing, the 20amp breaker does not trip (new circuit/new breaker). WiFi commands work easily with Alexa. Will need to order another to see if consistent. Read more

I finally found a smart plug that can take the draw of my high pressure misting pump. Burned up two lesser products. Read more

The app for this was nearly a dealbreaker for me. After some struggling I got it working. I do really wonder if this device is truly 20A rated though which is the only reason I bought it. I’m running 1,520 watts total on a dedicated 20A breaker essentially off one extension cord (all items are rated for 20A including extension cord). Read more
