I got these lights to replace my work bench lithonia led strip light that just wasn't cutting it but boy these are amazing however if your sensitive to harsh bright lights similar to what you'd see in a dentist office or operating room you wouldn't want these because that's what they remind me of but I do intricate electrical work in my shop and this is exactly what I needed no more dark spots or defined shadows it's like having a helper hold a light right where you need it. I highly recommend them and surprisingly the heat sink that's built in does a great job of dissipating the heat, the ones I have looked at in the past would get so hot beneath them you couldn't stand to be under it for extended periods of time even if it was cold outside but these you hardly know they're there heat wise but when it comes to light output and brightness you definitely know they're on. Overall an excellent choice when it comes to finding a bright light. Build quality is superb and durability is second to none, you need search no further if you want a high quality led high bay at a reasonable cost. I will say though these are much like a spot rather than a flood but mounted about 2 feet above my bench they provide enough light right where I need it. I was a little skeptical when I opened the box and saw how small they were but I figured I'd go ahead and install them just to see and it did not disappoint. Read more

I was a bit worried about the amount of light these would produce when I first unpacked them. They're very small overall and weight virtually nothing. However, after plugging them in I was amazed at the light throw. Installation took me about 10 minutes. After experimenting with the setup I decided to install them a little differently. Instead of using the chain (included) and a hook (not included) I chose to screw the mounting hook into the joist with a lag bolt and washer. This keeps the light perfectly straight and in place. The chain had a slight issue with keeping the light from pointing directly down because the power cord actually weighs more than the light itself and it comes out of the side instead of the center of the light. This forces the light to angle out a little unless you perfectly zip tie things into place. Also, this is my only complaint with the lights. These are great lights that are fairly easy to install. I like the plug install since it keeps things nice and neat and non-plug installation would require the same outlet box anyway. It actually took me a lot longer to install plugs than it did to hang the lights. Highly recommended. Read more

Good looking shop light. It comes with 5ft power cord and 18 inch chain for hanging. It is made of die cast aluminum which is used as the heatsink to keep LED's cool, it gets to about 135f, which is quite hot so you must be careful. It draws 68W of power so I am not sure the 100W rating is the equivalent rating to 100W of regular lamp or not, otherwise it is very bright light which will be great for the garage or shed. The price is on the high side, $54 for 2. I wish the power cord is more flexibale and should be about12ft long, 5ft just does not quite make it to the switched outlet the garage. The power cord is a little stiff so when you hang it with the included chain, no hook included, it tends the not hang straight die to the power cord is kind of pulling the body of the lamp side way, so you must give a slack on the power cord. I actually don't have these hanging up in a shop. I do a lot of work in my flowerbeds at night when it's cooler and we put these on wooden stakes so I can move them around and adjust the light where I need it. It's pretty much like working in daylight when I have these plugged in. Smart tip: Don't EVER look directly into thses things. I forgot that there was no power switch and was looking at one when I plugged it in. I saw spots for the next 30 minutes. With that being said, if you need some super bright lights, these are the answer. Plus, they are plug and go instead of having to hard wire them somewhere stationary. Read more

I'm using these two lights hanging from an A frame on a shop . They are ON for at least 9 hours daily; and after 8 months they are still working like the first day. The kit comes with everything needed to install them: a piece of light duty chain, a safety lanyard to secure it and a "C" bolt to be installed on a rim or conduit. This luminaries plug directly to a 5-15R receptacle, so you can install it by a plug of use an extension cord to use it. It is small and light enough and also rugged to put one in a toolbox. It doesn't need to be used hanging always. It is quite versatile. Read more

My garage had a single two-bulb fixture to light it up. While I did replace the 60W incandescent bulbs with brighter LED bulbs, it really wasn't enough. So I replaced the fixture with a duplex outlet and cover. Then I put two eye screws into the overhead joists to either side of the old fixture. Hung the lights, plugged them in, and now I can see! Its amazing how much difference a couple of "light bulbs" can make. Before I was always using a flashlight or utility light and now I don't need to. I should have done this a long time ago! Read more

These lights are really nice. They are very bright and are easy to put together. You simply screw on the included chain and it's ready for hanging. You can make the chain shorter if you need which is what i ended up doing by removing the hook and putting it further down the chain. It's very bright and lightweight. The only thing i wish it had was a button to turn on and off instead of plugging and u plugging and also wish the cord was a bit longer but that's nothing that an extension cord can't fix depending on your application. You get two in the package. Read more
