I purchased these to replace aging halogen based shop lights. Very impressive. You never know what you might get with LED lighting, but these lights perform. They are bright and daylight balanced (6500K), which is great for garage or outdoor use. The adjustable stand height, as well as the ability to remove the lamps from the stand, make this lighting product very versatile. And the assembly is light as well, making it easy to transport. The power cord is long and heavy duty, so no worries damaging it in a shop environment. The stand consists of large tubing making it stable. Pluses - remarkably bright. Each lamp has separate on/off push switch so you can have 3 brightness levels. Lamp holders can swivel to nearly any position. Stand adjustments are solid, easy to adjust. Easy to assemble. Cons - lamp switches are very, very firm. Ok for turning on (use 1 hand to hold lamp head, 1 hand to push switch). But turning off can be more challenging (hot lamp body is hard to hold). Stand max height (5 ft.) is less than I expected. But I just bounce the light off the ceiling if I need the light source to be higher. All in all, I’ll probably buy a couple more. Read more

I bought this to paint our living room and high ceiling. It put out plenty of light, but I’d definitely recommend the stand that has three light instead of two which I see a lot of. That one extra set of lights really made a difference when directing light onto a large area. Read more

No question about brightness. The switches to turn on each individual light are located on the bottom of the light fixtures. They only switch state if pressed very hard. And since they are located on the bottom of the light fixture, one is forced to grab the top of the light fixture to force the switch on or off, but the light fixture is also a heat sink and it gets hot, so it is easy to burn one's fingers if not quick enough. Why not put the switch on the back? The other problem is the feet of the stand consist of two parts. The end of the foot (about 6") is screwed onto the fixed end of the foot in three places. In my shop it has occurred twice that I have stepped onto the threaded junction of these two pieces and bent them. I finally just threw away the short 6" threaded foot extensions as they were always in the way. Besides the bright light, the electrical cord is long enough to allow easy location of the light unlike some of the products sold by Homedepot. Read more
