We've used this converter while travelling to England, Scotland and Ireland, and it worked as advertised. I was able to charge my older electric toothbrush (uses 110V). I used this every single day on a trip to Norway. I had a regular converter as well but ended up just using this one every time. I used it for my straightener as well as my phone and heating pad. I never had my heating pad and the straightener plugged in at the same time, but i also never would normally use those two things together. Sometimes it does make a computer fan sound, but it is not bad and I would honestly be more concerned if it wasn't expelling heat in some sort of way! It’s a life saver for me out here in Poland. Don’t plug anything that requires high voltage for it though. For example I plugged my ps5 in it and it shut off due to too much voltage being pulled. But I use it to charge my phone and other things that won’t draw too much power Read more

We purchased two of these for a trip to Europe and sadly they didn’t work beyond our phones and small devices (watch, headphones, etc.) I was not able to use my computer or straightener. I knew to expect the hair dryer not to work based on reviews but not the other essential items. That was a major disappointment. I had to go without or borrow other chargers to make use of things I thought I would have access to. This also added a level of stress not knowing if my items were broken or if it was just the charger potentially burning their power supply or just not supporting them. I’m bummed I’m outside of my return window because I would prefer to send them back and purchase the items friends used and worked great! Very good voltage converter. I tried it on a trip and it worked perfectly, it converted from 220V to 110V without problems. I was able to connect my laptop, chargers and even a hair straightener without it getting hot or making strange noise. In addition, it has several USB inputs that make it much easier when you travel and need to charge several devices at the same time. It is compact and easy to carry in the suitcase.
