These do just what I expected them to. They are on the small side so fitting them on most of my straws is tough, but can be done, they are made of a rubber/silicone type material. The multiple colors are neat as I can usually find one to match my straw color or compliment it. They are difficult to wash thoroughly on their own but super easy once attached to a straw. They go through the dishwasher just fine and didn't come off the straws while washing/drying. Unfortunately, these cannot be stretched to fit larger straws. These are a must if you use metal straws with any regularity. Because frankly, it's not a matter of if you'll chip your teeth, but when. Spending a few dollars on these will save you hundreds at the dentist's office later. They're very easy to clean and put on, but your teeth will cause little holes after awhile. I usually just flip them around and use the opposite end until that gets worn through, then toss them. Just one pack lasted me about 3 years though, so you'll definitely get your money's worth.
