Lasts three years
GE PEB7227DLWW microwave was purchased in April 2020 to replace a similar GE unit that failed after three years. This current unit failed (turn table spins continuously) September 2023. This time we had purchased an extended warranty. A technician came out to repair and ordered parts. A few days before the parts arrived the unit would trip a circuit breaker if attempting to use it. When the technician returned he was unable to determine the cause of the problem. He contacted the GE hotline for assistance and after trouble shooting with the GE factory rep it was determined the unit cannot be repaired. It seems GE microwaves have a lifetime of only three years. I recommend that you buy a different brand, or purchase an extended warranty with in home service. Read more
