Lights seem to be of pretty good quality. Just got them installed and they put out a good amount of light. Only complaint is the cord coming out of the unit is a little short - we put plugs on ours - so need to have them mounted right by an outlet. Seller is fantastic and very responsive - my order shipped in two separate shipments, but Amazon only showed one, so thought part of my order was missing. They responded right away and let me know the tracking of the other order, they even offered to expedite another shipment if I needed them immediately. They also included a free led street light unit for free! Would buy from again. Read more

I am a member of the Amazon Vine program. I order new items, and then write honest, unbiased reviews of that product, along with my impressions and experiences. I am not paid for these reviews. These "UFO" style high bay lights are very popular right now. They can replace HPS and HID light fixtures and save hugely on the electric bill. They provide an enormous amount of light for very little current. Most of them mount exactly like this one does: the eye-bolt on top simply hooks into any secure mount on or near the ceiling, or even a suspending chain. A safety cable is included to insure the light never falls from up high causing damage or injury below. The built-in power cable and standard three-prong plug connects almost instantly to any nearby outlet. They last for years, doing their job quietly and reliably. This LIGHT MASTER LED high bay light is a fine example of this technology. It produces over 15,000 lumens of bright white light for only about 150 watts of electricity. The heavyweight aluminum "saucer" and the "high-hat" top section effectively cool the lights and the control circuitry while in use. They also seal out most moisture completely. I did want to mention this: It is possible to connect a simple 0-volt to 10-volt dimmer control (not included) while installing this light, and then dial-control the light to the level of illumination you need. The one feature that I find most unusual about this light is the built-in motion sensor. You can mount this light where you need it, leave the circuit on, and walk away. The light will go into standby mode when no motion is detected, then switch into full brightness very quickly when movement occurs nearby. That will save even more on the power bill, since the motion detector on standby draws almost no power. What a smart feature! This is one fine high bay light. I recommend it! Read more

Working on things i the garage, i find myself bending my body at an angle b/c it always seems what I'm doing is in the shadows. Pretty sure that's not because I come from a long and storied line of super villains who did their best work in the shadows. I have strips light and socket lights that have 5 or 6 aimable sections. I really thought I had enough but, even with them working great, I still found myself working in the shadows. Enter this high bay light. First off - it is super bright. Brightest light out there. And it should be since it's using 200W. I won't, at least initially, have it on a switched outlet. But color temp is easily changed by plugging/unplugging. I like the first super white setting and likely won't see a need to ever change. Also at 200W this thing will get hot. I have not had a chance to check the heatsink and how efective it is. Just please be aware, even though this is an LED fixture, 200W is 200W, more than your average home LED bulb. Make sure that you don't have it near anything that's sensitive to heat, and that there's airflow around it that that the heat sink can do its work. Read more

This light is very bright and was simple to connect. The build quality is nice and feels very solid. The frame/heatsink does get hot after running the light for a while, but does not seem to affect performance. This covers a very wide area. Overall a good value! Read more

This is a heavy duty light. It has a solid construction and is very well made. The mounting hardware included made is simple to install. It comes with an eyelet anchor for the back of the light and a chain and two carabiners. The light is very bright and designed for a high ceiling. Mounting this light in a home garage with 8 or 9 foot ceilings may not provide the spread of light that the manufacturer intended though and is recommended for high ceilings such as in a pole barn or warehouse. This is a great light and I think its nice that it has the feature of being able to change the color temperature of the light which helps when you need a more natural tone rather than a bright white. I got this to replace a failing fluorescent light in my garage. I recently replaced another light fixture in the garage with a similarly designed "UFO" style light as this, but this one is a step-up in quality. Both of the lights are the same wattage, so the brightness is similar, but this one is way heavier than the other one, which I'm assuming is because it's made of better-quality material. I know these LED-type lights can get pretty hot so maybe the heavier material helps with heat dissipation. It has a thick enclosed hook that screws into the light fixture and a cable for hanging it. It doesn't have a hook for whatever material you're hanging it from (in my case the wood in ceiling of my garage). It also has an option to connect a dimmer, but I won't be using that because I can use all the brightness I can get from it for my windowless garage. I knocked a star off it because, according to the description "features a ready-to-plug approved power cord", but there isn't a plug on this (just the three bare wires for hard-wiring). I'm not sure if by "ready-to-plug" means it's ready to put a plug on the end of it, but that's not how I interpreted it. The cord though is pretty long so it seems the intention is to plug this fixture in. I put a plug on the end of it so it wasn't too big of a deal for me. I think that should be clarified though because for some people it might require hiring an electrician to hard-wire it (you can buy a plug that you can attached yourself from a hardware store).
