These blades are fantastic! I have fairly sensitive skin when it comes to shaving and these gillette platinum blades are the best I have found for my double edge razor. They stay sharp for a long time and are durable so a value pack like this is perfect for those who have tried them and enjoy them. I found them in a multipack of razors that had multiple brands and found the best results with these blades. Long time double edge shaver. I always used Feather blades in a couple cheap razors. They always performed well. More recently I purchased a Muhle R41. I hated it. I got extremely close shaves, but at the expense of blood everywhere. I was about to give up on it. Then I tried these Platinum blades in the R41. Problem solved. Great shaves. Almost never a nick. These blades aren't as sharp as a feather blade. But they are almost as sharp and so much more comfortable. I use them in a mild razor and get a perfect shave without irritation nicks or cuts. They are one of my go-to blades. Always good for 4-5 shaves between changes Read more

These only deserve four stars since they're not as good as when they were made in the US back in the 70s, but that's just me. I've been shaving since 1975 and I remember when DE blades had a bit higher quality and came in a metal dispenser. That being said, these are the best out there, with the Gillette Blue Silver coming in second. A 5-pack will last about three months if you change the blades regularly. A word of advice: Don't shave more than twice on one blade if you have a thick beard. If you have a light beard, no more than three. Reason being, the blades lose their edge a lot faster, perhaps since they're made a bit thinner... I'm not sure. You'll know it's time to change when you start to feel a tug or have to press harder (a no-no when using a DE razor) to get a closer shave. Remember, it's safer to shave with a fresh blade than a dull one. Read more

I’ve tried a lot of blades, my favorite by far is feather, I feel that you get the best results with them and so far nothing has come close. These Gillette blades are very impressive. I would say that they’re 95% to feather and less than 1/2 the price. The only downside for me is that they come in a box and don’t have the storage slot for the used blades as the other brands tend to. Other than that there is nothing to complain about with these. I have purchased multiple times and find these to be very sharp and in my experience last longer than any blades I have used. They last at least twice as long as Feather, as long as you get the genuine Russia made version. Read more
