After much research, I didn’t want just an adapter, I needed one to convert the energy so my small appliances did not get too much voltage and destroy them. Used this in Italy and in Iceland. If you are planning a trip, or multiple trips, abroad and aren't 100% certain which adapter you are going to need, look no further. This converter is basically a small brick surge protector with multiple wall adapters. The cable is on par in length with your standard curling iron/blow dryer and the unit has multiple plug ins so you don't have to pick and choose what to power. As for size, it may be bulkier than your standard wall adapter, but the extra size is worth it for the additional usb plug ins alone. I was also surprised to learn that the interchangeable plug in is the heaviest part, not the converter itself. All in all I would guess that it comes in at little over a half pound and takes up the space of a small lunchable. (You know, the ones that don't have fun little drinks and snacks. Boring.) Bonus: the cardboard tuck box it comes in is an excellent storage case with identifying labels making storage between trips a lot easier. Honestly, the extra size makes it that much harder to lose too. Definitely getting my money's worth out of this one! Read more
